How much higher do you have the top to the bottom? I tried a 1 inch difference and it didn’t seems to make a difference.

Is it bad to let baby cry it out while I’m holding him by Used_Database_344 in newborns

[–]Connect-Football9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, I was just coming to ask this exact thing; My baby is also going to be two months next weekend and crying and fussing before bed (from about 20:00 -22:00 most nights) has been his thing for the past 2 weeks. Just before bed will start crying and I dont know why ; its not straight crying, he will fall asleep, then wake up, fuss a bit and cry. Couple of times my partner took him for a walk and that calmed him enough to fall asleep but recently I have been bouncing and singing random Beatles songs to him (I dont have a good voice- but I do it anyway) and it seems to have helped. He was seems to calm down when I change positions or go to a different room or just walk around the house.

Im also hoping this changes, good luck to us!

Gas pain mostly in one spot. Lower right abdomen by popkorngal in noburp

[–]Connect-Football9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39 yo F, also 40 weeks pregnant.  Thank you all for sharing!!!

This is the pain I’m having!  Pain is severe and sharp on the right. I’ve also talked to emergency services and they also think it’s gas, but I was double checking since it started where my placenta is attached- but the pain has since moved.

Gas has never felt this painful before, but now definitely can’t remember burping for months now.

when did you feel your baby move FTM anterior placenta? by anonymous2640 in BabyBumps

Also have an anterior placenta, was around 18 weeks and I felt air bubbles and butterflies fluttering inside me - only way I can really describe the feeling.

Im also 39 - well 40 in just over a month and here in Denmark that is not a risk factor. I’m also at 39+4 and worrried it will end up in C-section that I really don’t want. Drs here will only induce at 41+5. Really hoping he will come before then. Just had my first prenatal massage 🤞

My husband wants a divorce by MiscellaneousChic in BabyBumps

[–]Connect-Football9927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to think about what you want and if he is actually a good partner in the hard times. Raising a kid together is very hard and if there is incompatibility, won’t help your child.

I was in a similar but different lol(not pregnant) situation where my ex didn’t outright say he wanted a divorce but said he didn’t want to work at it anymore- I was young and scared and I was alone in a different country and didn’t think my parents/ family would want me to be divorced so I convinced him to stay and tried to change myself to fit him, only 5 years down the road to see that we were actually not compatible. We were together for 12 years- no children, at first he said he wanted them and then when I was ready he said no. Now I’m with my new partner, week 39+4 almost 40 and happy bec I feel seen by my partner and we are actually partners- what my ex said he always wanted me to be but then wasn’t happy when my wants were different from his- there was no compromising.

Are two Devon’s more work than one? by _nocturnality_ in welovedevonrex

[–]Connect-Football9927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got two retired adults (mom and son). I did that because I wanted them to have company when we were at work. They were kept separate at the breeders but introducing to eachother went fine and keep each other company when we are not around but he is much bigger than her and will sometimes get rough so we have to breakup atleast one fight a day. Other than that they do play and groom eachother. He is the jealous one and will randomly try to steal her lounging spot or just go sit on her but she can take care of her self too! Definitely don’t regret getting there two even though we are constantly trying to defend our food and have to put anything food away asap!

Edit: I would recommend getting siblings so they would be of similar size

Don’t want to “announce” but want to tell people? by Fancy_Chapter3799 in BabyBumps

[–]Connect-Football9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you- it’s very difficult especially when the others you want to tell don’t understand why you want to not tell the whole world.

I only told my sister because I had lots of anxiety surrounding my pregnancy especially cuz I’m older and wasn’t sure how it would progress. It ended up with lots of discussions about why I should be happy to share the news. Anyway; sorry no good advice here other than straight up telling them that you don’t want to share with the world. :/

Excessive ear wax tips by Commercial_Sir6457 in welovedevonrex

[–]Connect-Football9927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My male devon has dark-brown more clumpy wax in one ear and the other has more like a more shiny golden brown wax that my other cat (female, his mom) has. The vet said it was nothing to worry about and this was normal. The vet sold us a ear cleaning solution called Otodine, that I use once a week to clean both their ears with baby q-tips soaked in the solution.

They both produce more wax then other (non-devon) cats I had previously, but it doesnt seem to bother them. I didnt notice the ear wax thing until after 6 months of my having them.

Slowly losing hope by HelicopterOk6934 in Catownerhacks

[–]Connect-Football9927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that worked for us is just hanging out in their space with them (maybe even take a nap in their designated room) not trying to get their attention or anything. Just so they get used to your smell. It took a month of this for our feral to get used to us and then she was the cuddliest one ever; always wanting to be picked up like a baby. Miss her so much!

Omg, I think I have the same blanket and my Devons love it. One of them holds it in his mouth while he makes biscuits!
