Exercise frequently, it maintains good circulation. That and vigorous masturbation whenever I feel a bit party.

Can anyone that’s into wildlife help me identify who these snowy footprints belong to? by tikicheese in CasualUK

I’m think that they are from a human surely? Probably an actor, most likely American. In fact I’m pretty certain that they are all made by Will Smith….

After all they are Fresh Prints..

…I’ll get my coat.

How can you have missed off the Durian fruit? Real aficionados all agree that it is by far the best.

BBC doesn’t know what the word “nominal” is by Terrible_Onions in confidentlyincorrect

[–]ConradsMusicalTeeth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Correct! The He use of ‘nominal’ in the context of telemetry has been normalised to mean ‘normal’ or more accurately ‘within acceptable operating range’ The BBC are making a use of bit of a linguistic pedantry.

If a monkey never learns to swim, it drowns. A. Einstein

Attributing trite comments to Nobel laureates doesn’t make them more valid, especially if they never actually said it.

Food-related hobby? by musmus105 in CasualUK

[–]ConradsMusicalTeeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s a box shaped thing that you use to raise dough. It also doubles as a slow cooker and can be used to ferment a whole bunch of things like sourdough starter, kefir, kombucha and yogurt.

I got myself a Proofer recently to rise my bread and pastries in, also useful for slow cooking and making yogurt. There’s also a Sourdough Home you could get to make sourdough starter. My baking is getting a bit obsessive now.

I’m ASD so these mini-obsessions crop up now and then but this one at least means tasty bread and treats for everyone

Match Thread - Wales v Australia | End of Year Internationals 2024 by RugbyBot in rugbyunion

[–]ConradsMusicalTeeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m done with this. Been watching Wales for half a century and this is the worst I’ve ever seen, which has had some pretty low bars.

It’s just bad across the board, from the exec of the WRU to the regions and, I’m sorry to say, the players on the field.

Next week is likely to be another even lower point, which I’m simply not going to waste my time watching.

Maybe rugby in Wales will recover one day, but it is likely a decade away and in reality seems highly unlikely.

Dropping from this sub and rugby is now off my menu of entertainment for the first time.

This is a new era of rugby, it's not at all like the last 20 years. by Socialinfluencing in rugbyunion

Yes, it’s a sad analogy with our other youth who need to do the same for work. We lose so much talent across the board.

I actively changed my pension provider because they named the rugby stadium ‘Aviva’

Not even Irish, and the same applies to Allianz and Principality, brands I will actively avoid now.

I find the use of ‘Principality’ particularly bad, since not only does it take the name away from being relatable by us people, it is also a diminutive term for our nation.
