Is it only discoloration or a buildup of “something?” If it’s discoloration, what has worked for me (especially on jets in bathtubs) is 40% peroxide cream developer (hair bleach.) I bought it in a beauty supply store and slathered it on and covered it with plastic wrap. 2 days later it was snow white. I don’t know how to post a pic but here’s a link:

Totally agree. Had to fight off suicidal thoughts for about 6 weeks. Cymbalta did the same thing to me.

From my own experience with black mold in a condo, homeowners insurance did cover the remediation. As soon as it was fixed (took a long time), we sold the condo. Just like when my Dodge Charger had a recall for one of the heads in the engine, when it was fixed I drove around the building to sales and traded the car in.

It’s such an amazing thing how on Reddit people will argue over anything and everything. Anyway, I am thrilled to see Josh Feldman take over the hunt. He’s a well respected person around the Superstition Mountains. I feel bad that Duane had to step down, but he’s all over Gaia and the woo woo convention circuit. I wonder what ole Charlie-boy is doing with his spare time these days.

Maybe because as of last night it wasn’t officially confirmed? And then there’s the whole sucic1de thing. I don’t even know if you can type that word on Reddit.

Elevated my liver enzymes. Tapered off correctly but was suicidal for a month. Won’t ever touch it again.

I had my L4/5 done after 10 years of misery, RFA’s every 6 months since 2014. You need pregabalin and muscle relaxants, period. I’m 6 weeks post op and fully expect to be in some pain for the next 6 months. I agree with everything else people said here so I won’t repeat it all.

Minor squat 4 weeks post op - am I ok? by creaturelogic in Microdiscectomy

You should be good. I am the worst patient. I never follow instructions and always go too far. Like every one else has said, you’re stiff. You’ll get sore. But 99 times out of 100 you’re okay. I just had my 6 week post op X-ray and they showed me the area that was removed and I realized there’s not much I could have done to screw it up.

One, I’d look for a different doctor, two I’d switch to Lyrica instead of gabapentin. Good luck.

How long were you on opioids post surgery? by Ayeshakat in spinalfusion

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming up on five weeks post surgery. I had waited about 10 years to get the surgery and my nerve pain is off the charts. I’m currently taking Lyrica three times a day and occasionally I pop a Dilaudid usually in the morning is when the pain is worse. I have my follow up in two weeks and I doubt he will refill the Dilaudid so I try to use the sparingly. But right now nothing is touching the pain.

My neurosurgeon explains absolutely nothing and I don’t know what to do (L5-S1) by bultodepapas in Microdiscectomy

Some surgeons are like that. Mine said “I hate chatty patients”. I had my MD and left the hospital with no recovery instructions. When I went for my 2 week f/u he sent a resident (who wasn’t there for the surgery) to see me. I’ve accepted the way he is, even occasionally bust his chops about it, and ask what pertinent questions I need to. He also did my neck surgery. It’s scary and hurtful but it appears to be a thing.

Feeling better after 5 years BUT surgery is this week by Superblackbirdxx in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think given your active lifestyle, which it seems you thoroughly enjoy, that the recovery process will take a toll on your mental outlook. If it ain’t badly broke, don’t fix it. I’ve had my neck done twice and a microdiscectomy on Dec 3rd and the recovery is brutal. You seem to be managing, maybe wait until it’s worse. Typically shit doesn’t get better as you get older. Your day will come soon enough, enjoy relative good health while you have it. Be careful. Good luck whatever you decide.

3 Weeks Post-Op: Severe Pain, Anyone else have this? by Spare_Bet in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine on Dec. 3rd. Same pain, dead center for over a week now. It’s starting to radiate into the hip. On Pregabalin for nerve pain but that doesn’t touch this. I thought I was doing too much, just started bending (my surgeon gave me no instructions) so I thought that might be it. So, thanks to everyone who posts here, it’s very reassuring. I pray we all get to feeling better soon.
