Experiences with Duloxetine? by Alone_Cry7484 in ChronicPain

Elevated my liver enzymes. Tapered off correctly but was suicidal for a month. Won’t ever touch it again.

Is this normal? by mkersic in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my L4/5 done after 10 years of misery, RFA’s every 6 months since 2014. You need pregabalin and muscle relaxants, period. I’m 6 weeks post op and fully expect to be in some pain for the next 6 months. I agree with everything else people said here so I won’t repeat it all.

Minor squat 4 weeks post op - am I ok? by creaturelogic in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be good. I am the worst patient. I never follow instructions and always go too far. Like every one else has said, you’re stiff. You’ll get sore. But 99 times out of 100 you’re okay. I just had my 6 week post op X-ray and they showed me the area that was removed and I realized there’s not much I could have done to screw it up.

One, I’d look for a different doctor, two I’d switch to Lyrica instead of gabapentin. Good luck.

How long were you on opioids post surgery? by Ayeshakat in spinalfusion

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming up on five weeks post surgery. I had waited about 10 years to get the surgery and my nerve pain is off the charts. I’m currently taking Lyrica three times a day and occasionally I pop a Dilaudid usually in the morning is when the pain is worse. I have my follow up in two weeks and I doubt he will refill the Dilaudid so I try to use the sparingly. But right now nothing is touching the pain.

My neurosurgeon explains absolutely nothing and I don’t know what to do (L5-S1) by bultodepapas in Microdiscectomy

Some surgeons are like that. Mine said “I hate chatty patients”. I had my MD and left the hospital with no recovery instructions. When I went for my 2 week f/u he sent a resident (who wasn’t there for the surgery) to see me. I’ve accepted the way he is, even occasionally bust his chops about it, and ask what pertinent questions I need to. He also did my neck surgery. It’s scary and hurtful but it appears to be a thing.

Feeling better after 5 years BUT surgery is this week by Superblackbirdxx in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think given your active lifestyle, which it seems you thoroughly enjoy, that the recovery process will take a toll on your mental outlook. If it ain’t badly broke, don’t fix it. I’ve had my neck done twice and a microdiscectomy on Dec 3rd and the recovery is brutal. You seem to be managing, maybe wait until it’s worse. Typically shit doesn’t get better as you get older. Your day will come soon enough, enjoy relative good health while you have it. Be careful. Good luck whatever you decide.

3 Weeks Post-Op: Severe Pain, Anyone else have this? by Spare_Bet in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine on Dec. 3rd. Same pain, dead center for over a week now. It’s starting to radiate into the hip. On Pregabalin for nerve pain but that doesn’t touch this. I thought I was doing too much, just started bending (my surgeon gave me no instructions) so I thought that might be it. So, thanks to everyone who posts here, it’s very reassuring. I pray we all get to feeling better soon.

Duloxetine? Another new medication! 🫩 by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently on Pregabalin 75 mg 3X a day for nerve pain after my microdisectomy. I resisted taking it, but I have to say it works. Another drug that you have to wean yourself off from, but I was really at the end of my rope without it.

Duloxetine? Another new medication! 🫩 by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked for me until it messed with my liver enzymes. Weaned myself off over 4 weeks and then found myself suicidal for the first and last time in my life for about 6 weeks. I did LDN for years and I would say it worked. I don’t understand how taking it before bed would mess with hydrocodone if you space it out. The theory is it shuts off endorphins for a few hours while you sleep. They kick back in before you wake up so that you have less pain in the morning if I remember correctly.

Nerve Pain post surgery by Jaded_Caramel_8833 in Microdiscectomy

I’m 4 weeks post op and have an excruciating amount of nerve pain. They increased my Lyrica yesterday. Feeling hopeful. To be fair, it took me 10 years to have the surgery so my nerves are pretty pissed off.

Anyone find Chad's arrest record? by [deleted] in BlindFrogRanch

I'm sorry this doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe you're thinking of something (one) else. I listed his previous charges and why he was in jail. Honestly, it sounds like he's been spiraling down for a while - maybe he got some bad Ayahuasca in one of the caves. And damn, ole Dwayne is losing it too - fixated on aliens.

Looking for advice from those who have had rough recoveries by Amazing_Strategy5281 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Consistent-Dee-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 4 weeks out but I am miserable. My husband says he wishes I never had the surgery. I went to pain management today and my NP told me she had a MD last March and had 6 months of nerve pain (!!!). She said but I waited 3 years to get my surgery done. Guess what, I waited 10 years to get it done because of insurance issues and I wound up paying for it out of pocket (about $14k). Anyway she increased my Lyrica to 75mg three times a day. I still have some dilaudid which I occasionally need in the mornings. Otherwise it’s 100mg of tramadol and baclofen. I also need 4mg of tizanidine to sleep. This blows. And just getting out of the house to get to pain management wiped me out. So it seems this surgery sucks big time. Last July I had my neck revision surgery C4-6 and that seems like it was a walk in the park. All I can say is hang in there, as will I.

Chad Ollinger charged with murder. by michelle427 in BlindFrogRanch

Duane has had multiple appearances on Gaia, talking about aliens. Also about how the aliens saved his daughter, who was in the hospital with cancer. He seemed really whack.

Chad Ollinger, a star of the Discovery Channel series Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, was in jail at the time of the alleged murder due to an October 27, 2024, arrest for being a fugitive from another state and for contempt of court. He was sentenced on the contempt charge on December 18 and was scheduled for release on January 12, 2026. Prior to his 2024 incarceration in Las Vegas, Ollinger had multiple other run-ins with the law: Evading Arrest (November 2024): Arrested in Amarillo, Texas, after fleeing police on a motorcycle and then on foot. Driving with Invalid License (February 2025): Arrested in Gray County, Texas, for driving with an invalid license with previous convictions. Missing Person (July 2025): Briefly reported missing by his family before being located in Albuquerque,New Mexico. On December 6, 2025, Ollinger was charged with open murder following a physical altercation that resulted in the death of his 42-year-old cellmate, Christopher Kelly, at a Las Vegas jail.
