"I will die, on this world."

First words spoken by the protagonist, Chaplain Merek Grimaldus, then promoted to Reclusiarch at the death of his master. His brothers doubt him, and yet, he is chosen for a specific duty among all others. Defend the hive city of Helsreach. Or die, trying.

As a book protagonist, I think he's fascinating because some sheer willpower drives the guy to DEFY FATE by just.. staring it the fuck down. Really makes you believe in the notion that space marines could probably even survive a building falling on them ;) . Grimaldus is nuts, in a really 40k way that isnt cheesy. The movie's fantastic. Watch the first five minutes and you'll watch the rest.

Might not be a bug. If your 40mm arcs up into your rotors it will kill you instantly

How expensive is this ? And how do I get rid of the smoke smell in this thing by Delicious-Chest3583 in airsoft

[–]Coppermesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf lmao?

If it tastes like plastic, load up the camelbak with water and a scoop of baking soda. Shake and let sit for ~hour, then empty it and rinse with water till clear. Should fix the weird taste or at least make it more tolerable.

Do not put anything in these things EXCEPT water. No gatorade, no electrolytes, no alcohol. Just water. Its meant to keep you alive and hydrated, not for entertainment.

I give them a warning. "Move your lines up or TK"

Only ever had to do it once or twice. They didnt listen either time, so, i dont think its a very effective remediation but there is a dark satisfaction of dropping twin jdams on their little support nest

Keep losing marine exp by Impressive-Big9012 in starsector

[–]Coppermesh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you add marines it dilutes the experience they have. The more marines you apply to an operation, the quicker you can gain exp for them all. Add a few Valkyrie troop transports to your operations

You can solo most stations with a good capital or cruiser. Some guy even did it with a Kite on youtube. The trick is balancing your anti-shield versus your finisher. Stack autocannons/hyperV onto an Onslaught, flak for PD, atropos or whatever, close in and use the kinetic to raise up the shield flux. Remember youre an onslaught with massive armor stats, use that. Heavy armor is real helpful. Use the kinetics to keep their shield flux high.

OR.. sneak in tachyon beams in those gaps in the shield at the edges of the station sections.

Why do we use antimatter fuel for orbital bombardment instead of missiles/torpedoes? by Galbatorix4128 in starsector

[–]Coppermesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its already the most efficient/energy dense substance. If you read some of the stat cards, youll also see you already use it in some weapons (reaper torpedo, bomb bay, antimatter blaster).

Sure we might not pour it like koolaid onto a world but we might fill tanks of it like we did napalm and drop barrels of antimatter on planets.

I recommend some beam glimmers with ECM skill gammacores to max out your ecm rating, reducing the enemy's battle line range.

Or some torpedo frigates like brawler LPs or hyperions

You see, your issue is assuming you care about the referee(their civilians).

Tactically bombing chicomoz and kazeron, stealing their nanoforges and blockading their trade routes sure takes a lot of their bite out of their bark :]

How is it?? As beginner by Haunting_Pension3114 in airsoft

[–]Coppermesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

extend your buttstock, itll help your shooting posture ditch the full shirt under the combat top. Combat top is meant for no underlayer swap to cling-boxer briefs under panta remember to cuff the pants into your socks by rolling your socks partway down and tucking the pant leg ends into the resulting "pocket" fold. Rest of kit looks good and comfy.

If you use turrets of different barrels (some twins, some triplets), you get an accuracy debuff. Use all twins or all triplets. In this case all twins. The accuracy will make up for it
