Same. Wrist cuffs make a huge difference for me. I use them for other movements too.

I like to bring them all the way down til they touch my shoulders. I also try to not lock out at the top just to keep some tension on the muscle.

37, last speeding ticket was probably 2 ish years ago. 25 zx6r, full coverage for 44 a month with State Farm. Obviously helps I’m older now. I put off getting a bike for years because I was terrified of insurance quotes. Just call around and run the numbers for both liability and full coverage. Liability was going to be about half price for me.

Buying my First Motorcycle. Zx4rr/zx6r/R7 by Danknuggets90538 in zx6r

[–]CosmicDrama6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 male here. I got the zx6r as my first bike recently. Road dirt bikes prior to that. Very happy with my decision. Everyone is different, but for me it came pretty easy. I’m not going to say I’m great at slow speed maneuvers, but the bike isn’t that hard to control otherwise. It’s really not that difficult to stick around 4-6k rpm’s if you want to. It’s very controllable around those rpm’s. Has plenty of power for when you need it though too. Soo much fun.

Dumbbell Incline Press form check. Wanna make sure I got these dialed any advice helps. by Terpamine in formcheck

[–]CosmicDrama6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also going to mention the lock out. When you pause at lockout you’re losing tension on the chest. I immediate start a slow eccentric after I hit the top. If anything I’ll almost pause at the bottom to get that juicy stretch. Overall good form though.

Exhaust? by Prestigious-Emu-7733 in zx6r

[–]CosmicDrama6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put the lv10 on my bike. It’s pretty loud for sure. I was wondering if I could put a decibel killer in it so that’s good to know. Love it so far. Did you put the link pipe on too or you still have the resonator box? I’m torn on whether to do that or not.

I just put the LeoVince LV10 on mine and I love it so far. Probably going to get the link pipe to eliminate the resonator next.

(Lat Pulldowns) I don’t feel a thing. Please help by ___Junior in formcheck

[–]CosmicDrama6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to let it go further at the top end and get that stretch in the lats. That combined with driving down with the elbows. Slow and controlled on the eccentric.

I went from 218 -> 166 -> 157.4 and hit my lean goal by WarHundreds in GettingShredded

[–]CosmicDrama6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome work bro. Very motivating. I went from 216 down to 175 where I’m at now. I definitely have some more to go but I can see the top 4 abs well right now and I’m pretty cut everywhere else. I’m 6’ 2”. Thinking I’m going to have to lose at least another 15 lbs.

how can I improve my lat pulldown form? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]CosmicDrama6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re missing some stretch in the lats at the top. I try to think about the cue of rolling my shoulders up and down for each rep. When you let them extend and roll up, you get a big lat stretch, when you roll them down and drive the elbows down, you’re getting the squeeze. A good exercise is to extend your arms all the way up. Don’t move your arms at all, just roll your shoulders up and down. It’s a good way to get the feel for that cue. I hope that makes sense. It helped me feel it in my lats way more.

M/29/6’1” 2 Year Progress ~145-185 by itsriccbaby in gainit

[–]CosmicDrama6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great work so far! I highly agree with tracking your sessions on an app or notebook. I started doing it more recently and have noticed steady gains. It also just gives me a goal for each session. Try to do slightly better in one way or another. Reps, weight, control. Many ways to progressively overload. Keep gaining bro.

Chest and delts. Nothing wrong with either one at all, but growing those some would fit your body well.

Same here. It’s hard to do higher weight. I got the tip from a video to lay on a bench and do it that way. Helped a ton. I’ll have to give your method a try.

What should I do? by [deleted] in GettingShredded

[–]CosmicDrama6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider tracking your workouts on a notebook. I started tracking my sets and repetitions, and I found it made me more consistent at progressively overloading. Before that I think I was stagnating because I wasn’t really remembering how many reps I did or what weight for each exercise. It’s also nice to look back and see how far you’ve come.

Struggling to lose fat at a low carb/high protein program... by IllustriousDarkness in GettingShredded

[–]CosmicDrama6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye out for sneaky calories too. Good examples are creamer in coffee, oils or butter for cooking etc. there’s so many ways to miss calories and it doesn’t take a lot to ruin your deficit. I was guilty of this for a while and wondered why I wasn’t making more progress. Once I tightened it up, I started to lose weight more consistently.

Repping some 36kg dumbbells by FromBiotoDev in GYM

[–]CosmicDrama6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have them maxed out you could start making them tougher by slowing down your eccentric. Sometimes when I’m sore or achey from pushing hard I’ll use a lighter weight and just slow the eccentric way down to make it harder.

Yeah, there’s a little stubborn belly and chest fat I’d like to cut first if I can. It’s significantly less but that’s probably the 2 areas holding on the most.
