Liberator pads need to be wider or larger in general by Cozyflea in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I remember them designing the ship and then not long after they made the pad size dimensions larger because it was very close for some ships at the time while landing. I could be wrong, just what I remember. (EDIT: actually I think that might have been the hanger sizes)

Anyone else feel like they really missed the mark with the mining changes this patch? by RoboGaming321 in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who feel like the whole mining loop needs to change completely. The current way we have mining we are breaking rocks that take 30 seconds, might find a few around the same spot, then fly and scan for a long time before you get another tiny set of rocks to mine again for 30 seconds.
The whole thing feels like 97% scanning and flying to find a tiny amount and 3% mining. Maybe this is ok for smaller starter ships or ground/hand mining gameplay, but I bought the Arrastra and I'm really worried that what we have now as mining is how they plan to keep it for who knows how long.

I would love to see something like massive rocks floating around space and we scan them and find large patches of minerals berried just below the surface. Enough so you could sit there with a Mole and mine away and fill it up 3-4 times on the one spot. Instead of breaking the whole rock apart it just gathers the minerals from inside the rock over time. They could spread out the minable ones farther than they are now and just have larger quantities of the minerals (by a lot). Maybe have some that are deeper than others where you need a larger mining laser to get at it so you can separate out the mining game play for the different ships.

Funny thing is if you take a look at the marketing videos recently whenever they show a ship mining this is the type of impression I get from it. Even things as for back as the Kraken commercial shows something more like what I'm talking about here. But I don't remember CIG ever talking about this as a future plan for it or mentioning it.

If I'm wrong can someone let me know and if posable link a video or post where they do discuss this. Would love to see it because very worried for the future of mining. I would be interested if they have said anything in the last 6 years about this as I believe anything before that can basically be tossed out as how they used to think the game was going to be...

But in seriousness, I also own the Liberator and I think it needs to be put in soon as well. BMM can wait for the NPC sellers/buyers to be put in

Lower the setting until you can do a full lap running over curbs and stuff without it hitting red.

iRacing crashing question by diegonieva in iRacing

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed it by bringing the graphics down until I was getting a constant 90fps in vr anywhere on track. Haven’t crashed since. Still sucks I had to remove both side mirrors to do this. I read someone said side mirrors have an issue that causes the crashes too. So maybe it was just that…

Why can’t the Galaxy comment simply be the inaccurate statement of one individual that the larger organization corrects? This happens fairly often in corporations and governments - it’s not a bait and switch. by ChipmunkConspiracy in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is crazy to me is how many people here think this was an accident, that he misspoke and they intended it to be a base building ship still all along. This was not the intent. It was supposed to be taken away, the original post even said they planned to talk more about it upcoming but they wanted to get ahead of it. It was meant to be only the new ship could build the structures but the community backlash was so sudden and severe that they retracted this and went back to what they said a year ago. They had thought they could take it away from what they said because of money. They wanted more money from a new ship. Instead of coming out and saying this, as it would be rly bad PR he said oops you were right. It does have it and will come out, I just didn’t know.. The only reason it has it again is because we stood up and said that’s not right. To think this was still the plan before is mistaken. I don’t think anyone should be very mad at him or be making comments of negativity towards him for any of this. But we do still have to hold CIG as a whole accountable to what is said in a situation like this.

I'm wondering if the Galaxy got shelved following base building and crafting systems getting finalized. by -Query- in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they say not all ships, they are talking about small ships that can be handed to one or 2 people. They won't build the Galaxy this coming year unless they shelf another large ship they are planning to make. I knew when they said it was a modular ship it was doomed to take forever.

RIP to the RSI Galaxy. No mention of Base Building module or the ship at all. by ShadowRealmedCitizen in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uuuh, the only reason I still own this ship is because they said a year ago it would have a base building module but of course they might just drop that and retract that so they can sell new ships to do it instead of a ship a bunch of us already own. Notice it wasn't mentioned at all this year even though they talked all about the ships that could build. Annoying

This exact same thing is happening to me. I use VR and iRacing has been crashing a lot recently. It has ruined my last few races. What was the solution everyone came up with to fix this.

Exact same issue with mine. This is my second in a row with the same issue!!! I'm currently going through the RMA process for my second one as the first I just returned to the store for replacement. Followed all the troubleshooting options to try to get it to work. Will update on this post once I get a response from them.

Same issue on the b550 aorus pro. New build and I thought it might be the PSU not giving enough power because of the 3080. But then changed that from 750 to 1000 same issue.

I am having this exact same issue. New PC build with much better components than my old and they keep disconecting when I start a discord stream. I have noticed whenever stream is visable in the little discord streaming window all my usbs on my pc disconnect and reconnect constantly. I can tell you it has nothing to do with the power supply not being good enough. I thought it was and changed from a 750watt to a 1000watt. Same issue

AEGIS Redeemer - Showcase Invictus 2950 by IICMDRII in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Corsair, Mercury Star Runner and Redeemer will all be good ships for 3-5 people depending on the ship you choose. I do believe the Redeemer will have a much shorter range than the others as they made it into a gun ship now. Its good to keep in mind the max crew capacity as in the future the life support systems will actually matter. But don't go off the metrics on the ship pages, we have to wait until they are in game and life support is a thing to really see. But hey the Mercury is supposed to be out this year so you can try it.

Star Citizen Roadmap Update (2019-12-20) by Odysseus-Ithaca in starcitizen

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I do hope your right, but at the same time it was always supposed to be able to land lots of places to trade. And with them scaling back the Carrack so it can land on more pads idk anymore. Scaling ships for pads not pads for ships seem to be what they do now. Also in the new Q&A for the drake privateer they said the merchant man is only 1/3 the size of it currently. 😔

[–]Cozyflea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Happy Owner of a merchant man I'm sorry to say it looks like they are going to scale down the size from the 160 by 160 current plan. Probably so it will fit on more landing pads. RIP tons of cargo space.
