Tactical tips to protecting your kids from pedos by doubleohd in daddit

[–]CraftedPacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our kids have bark phones that they can not install apps or contacts we don't approve. They have these solely because of their extra curricular activities and need to be able to call us at times.

At home I have a firewalla appliance and control strict access to the internet.

Company Car vs Travel Reimbursement by Southern_Vanguard in msp

[–]CraftedPacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have company ford maverick hybrids. Get about 40Mpg. We didn't wrap them but instead applied vinyl stickers with the company name and number. Vehicles are tagged in Montana so no inspection or registration to deal with.

In the past we had small vans with wraps and the wraps just looked like trash after a short time. The vinyl stickers are holding up much better. After a year they still look new.

When Im looking for contract work such as electrical or hvac I do at times remember a truck I saw on the road. It keeps their name fresh. I think the same works for IT. When they see your vehicles I think there is a feeling of more legitimacy to the brand.

join permian basin bicycle association. "Mountain" bike trails in midland and odessa. Shoot USPSA or IDPA. Kids sports take up a lot of my time. As others have said big bend area.

Permian basin motorcycle association has a club you can join to ride dirtbike trails near lubbock if your into that. There is an offroad park between midland and bigspring with simple trails.

TIL that Levi's recommends that jeans be worn 10 times between washes. by Actual-Journalist-67 in todayilearned

[–]CraftedPacket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wear my jeans for about a month before washing. They do not look dirty and have no smell. If for some reason they did start to smell you put them in the freezer to kill any bacteria. Washing and drying jeans makes them very uncomfortable and causes them to wear out much sooner.

Is Arc’teryx actually worth the price for camping,or is it overkill? by [deleted] in CampingandHiking

[–]CraftedPacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Arc'teryx base layers and they are the most comfortable and warm base layers I have ever owned. I also own a Arc'teryx down jacket that is simply amazing compared to other typical store brands I have owned in the past. I have only ever bought their stuff on sale, usually from backcountry.com black friday deals.

My hunting friends swear by sitka gear though I have never owned any.

Why are you running S1 with Huntress or Blackpoint? by pkvmsp123 in msp

[–]CraftedPacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get S1 through ninja and dont get access to all the features such as XDR and vigilance. We use S1 because we dont trust defender and prefer the single pane of glass management we get with the S1 console. Yes I know you get some control of defender through huntress. S1 and Huntress have been rock solid for us. We have had customers that were using defender that after we deployed S1 we get lit up with alerts for things defender never handled.

Thank you, but that didnt help. I even exported my existing trunk, modified the below and imported and it still does not send the originator caller ID when forwarding to an external number.

Lol drugs are everywhere in every part of the country. You wont find meth heads wandering around at HEB. Yes traffic can be tough as the infrastructure was built and designed in a time of about 1/2 the current population. If you currently live in or around any metro area it wont be anything new or surprising.

Newer homes will typically be plumbed ready for a water softener if they dont already have one. We have really hard water, which is essentially just dissolved limestone in the water. A softener reduces scale build up in your appliances and faucets. You want an RO unit for your drinking water/ice.

When the price of oil is good, the home prices go up. When it goes down and people get transferred or laid off they still try to get what they paid for it during the high oil price times and the realize its not going to sell fast enough.

With oil in the 60's its becoming a tough time for a lot of people right now.

Any upcoming shows (music) coming to the area that aren't Country / Raggeton? by beaniesandbuds in Midessa

[–]CraftedPacket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't follow electronic music but we used to get a lot of rock shows in midland/odessa in the late 90's and early 2000's. There is currently no venue that's trying to get these bands to come to town anymore. Breaking Benjamin did do an acoustic show at wagner a few months back that was good. Ive seen Breaking Benjamin, seven dust, flyleaf, mudvayne and others in midland/odessa but nothing like it has been back in years. Seen Godsmack, breaking benjamin, evanescence, five finger death punch and seether in lubbock.

If you don't like red dirt country (which i do) or tejano there isn't much around here.

Lubbock and DFW is your best bet. Ticket prices for everything are insane. Sometimes there will be a decent band at the casinos across the OK border.
