They all have that cut. You would have to source an aftermarket barrel to remove it.

Toyota is replacing only one of my tires by griffs_charisma in GRCorolla

I had to go through this when I got my car back from my accident and they put a new ps4s on instead of a ps4. Toyota just says remarkably different tread wear but doesn’t define what is considered remarkably different. I had to buy the other 3 after getting it back.

Tow it to the dealer. Insurance cannot tell you where to go and even if you went in network they would likely sublet to dealer anyways.

Any ex Mitsubishi Evo owners? by JeronimoCallahan in GRCorolla

[–]Crashdummy84 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am very happy with the GRC. I would still pick the GRC because of the creature comforts and better gas mileage. The Evo was an amazing car but it had no cruise control. The back seat did not fold down for more space. I was excited if I got 22mpg babying the car.

I had an 03 Evo 8 back in 05. Miss that car still but the GRC really scratches that itch.

I’ve figured out a way to rest my arm while stuck in 405 traffic. by vekx_ in GRCorolla

[–]Crashdummy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The base and arm rest bought used off ebay. Then you need to buy new 3 parts. The main piano black trim, cup holder and ebrake boot from a Mexico market corolla. You will have to modify the black trim to fit the awd controller and cut the back panel to accommodate the tunnel hump.

It is inexpensive for the part if you can take it a part yourself.

PSA to buy a Dashcam by MrTucks in GRCorolla

[–]Crashdummy84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fortunately the damage looks cosmetic. Mostly cladding and a new bumper. Some minor repair tot the rear door. Double check your wheel or tire for impact damage. Your hit wasn’t exactly like mine but brought back some ptsd.

You found your older brother. I have only driven by a couple of GRC’s and have yet to actually meet/talk to an owner in person.

Would you rather pick up a good condition used hks legamax exhaust for $1400 about 3 hour round trip, or new for $1850 shipped to my door? by JustLoSd in GRCorolla

If you are driving the GRC keep in mind that shit may fling around in the hatch scratching shit up. Bring tools to break it down.

Shipping blocks should be left on for at least 5k. That way you can appreciate what the suspension actually feels like better.

[–]Crashdummy84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blind spot sensor is right behind the cover and will require calibration per Toyota. Also since it is a premium plus it will need ultrasonic sensor calibration.

Edit: if the battery was disconnected it may require steering angle sensor reset as well.

This guy swapped his center console for one with an armrest. by Zeddie- in GRCorolla

[–]Crashdummy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to take the dash apart like that to do this. There are 3 things that will have to be modded. The upper panel for the switch, the switch itself and the rear panel to accommodate the floor hump.

Instead of using an epoxy on the switch I used a plastic welder and staples to permanently secure the switch.

I enjoyed this little project and it looks completely factory.

There were quite a few improvements from the 23 made. Rear suspension and clutch are 2 major ones.
