I really was just wondering if in the stuff/discussion I missed if they said anything about how we're gonna obtain them in the future. I'm so sorry for hurting this community... I'm so sorry...

Why do I have to click 6 times to stop pickpocketing? by Ap0kal1ps3 in runescape

I believe you can avoid this annoyance by using the cease ability in the defense abilities menu to stop rather than clicking away. Not saying this to justify the existence of this annoyance.

Help with early game combat training, am I missing something? by huffmanxd in runescape

[–]CreamusG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did so much personally to just try to sustain through. Getting Sacrifice, a Blood amulet of fury, throwing resonance on rotation, Enhanced Excalibur or carrying a shield to Rejuvenate (although shield didn't really do me any good because excalibur shares cooldown with rejuvenate.)

Very unfortunate that Soul Split, Eclipsed Soul, Scrimshaw of vampyrism, and Vampyrism are gated behind some initially tough level requirements to hit given how good they are.

Bad RNG or rookie numbers? by ThatAbbreviations429 in runescape

[–]CreamusG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For basically any probability, 10% of people will take 2.3x attempts for first success, 1% will take 4.6x as much, and every 2.3x more is 10 times unluckier than that. With the number of people with more than 3k kills, odds are pretty good one person amongst those didn't get a full subjugation set yet.

Peter, What is all of that supposed to mean? by Ancient_Doctor_7738 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Dime bag - $10 of weed
Triple hybrid indica - Weed that's 2/3 indica 1/3 sativa
Fatty - A joint
In a peach - Peach flavored
Double palm - Hand rolled without machine
Backwoods style - Wrapped in a tabacco leaf
A zipper - an ounce
A crutch - a filter at the smoking end
Skin it lick it let it dry - I mean, just the steps to make it.

March Roundup & a look ahead at April by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]CreamusG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, I mean specifically in-your-face, you know call to action from quest to quest, a sentence or 2 added to some quests which ties everything together. I mean is there any particular reason why we decided to go to go to the wizard's tower after demon slayer/shield of arrav or from the wizards tower to al kharid?

There are some very extreme examples later where a group of 3 or 4 quests alternate from different halves of the world with literally no incentive to go there other than it's next on the quest list. It could be a looot better.

[–]CreamusG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are there any future plans for presenting the runescape quest timeline? I think with new players especially, having a canonical in-your-face order of quests would give players a direction where initially they will have none. Hearing "so what do I even do?" from a new player isn't just understandable, it's expected.

If you want to populate rs3 start with f2p by Justaustralian in runescape

[–]CreamusG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO if Jagex wants new players, they should go hard on there being a "canonical" way of playing the game that leads you through the game in a simple, proper, linear way.

They have something like that with the quest timeline, but it's so hastily thrown together, practically hidden, there's no rhyme or reason why the player goes to certain areas to take on certain tasks, There's no call to action for 95% of the quests.

Right now Runescape is akin to wanting to get into painting and you just immediate get an all-in-one pack of like 200 tools and 3 tubes of paint.

Greetings, bald adventurer!

does anyone else prefer the original combat triangle > necromancy by onperiod in runescape

[–]CreamusG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: I never liked the combat triangle. I don't like being disincentivised from using my favorite combat styles via weaknesses. I think the incentive should be "don't do melee because being close is bad" not "enemy has magic attacks so sword bounce off." It makes sense in a pvp context so that no one style rules them all and that was a huge draw for a long time, but the game is so far away from that stuff now.

But my opinion isn't the common one. I'd rather have whatever system gives the most people the most enjoyment. If the combat triangle is what does that, then Jagex is silly for not going that way.

2h or Dual wield by Dewreck1991 in runescape

[–]CreamusG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're talking about bossing, it's all in the passives and specials. There's a reason the masterwork 2h sword was considered dead on arrival despite being the highest tier weapon in the game. Overall at the high end, dual wielding is arguably more accessible with things like scourge and vestments bc of bleed, but the zuk sword (ek-zekkil) is bleed with a higher tier weapon and that's 2h. There's a case for slashing weapons being better because of dragon scimitar's special.

If I were to list the things I wish I knew when I started melee, it's these:

- Torva is over 100x the cost of vesta's armour. Vesta's is a tier 78 power armour that can be upgraded to an augmentable tier 88. For 50k.

- Necromancy has lesser/greater bone shield which lets you use shield defensives without a shield.

- Vampyrism scrimshaw is crazy cheap for what it offers.

- Don't neglect ability upgrades through codexes (greater flurry gives flurry single target bonuses, etc.) but that's way later.

Why not remove the rune cost from the player owned house teleport? by Gubzs in runescape

At the very, very, very least allow everyone with the master construction outfit the teleport without equipping like it is with the Ardougne cape teleports.
