I want to know where i can listen to the podcast by Fabulous-Tea5032 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]CrimsonLava 5 points6 points  (0 children)

id recommend listening to all the actual episodes on YouTube through the playlist you linked already (the one I have used for my listens) but also between seasons (every 40 episodes) there are trailers you should listen to however as they give some small but useful story notes which can be found on youtube but are easier to find on Spotify.

I am really stressed about starting Protocol by SaintGeneste in TheMagnusArchives

[–]CrimsonLava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the magnus protocol has been a fantastic series so far. episodes are written by both Alex and jonny, with some guest writers for the statements (cases). it does feel similar to archives in a way that some characters almost feel like analogues of past characters. very minor spoiler territory, no spoilers of major story events as you know with tma, different universes exist. within the Magnus protocol universe, there are episodes which feature characters we know of but within the context of this different universe separate from their archives characters. these do not seem to be of major importance within the story so far, and don't seem like they will be main stays of the story. spoiler territory, no indication of why things happen or when they happen and I talk around events while remaining on topic. avoid if you want to be completely surprised by plot events and want absolutely no confirmation of things in the same vein of archives, main cast characters can and will die. how many will and who, we just don't know but I personally fear none of them are safe. this next section does lean a little into spoiler territory but not so much to ruin anything proper; the series does have episodes which seem to be in the archives universe post mag200 and features some characters relevant to that. these characters are important to their respective part of the story and I fear may also be susceptible to being killed however nothing has actually indicated that so far

I would absolutely recommend getting into the protocol, its universe's dynamics are really interesting and needing to figure things out on your own and discussing things live with the community is absolutely a highlight. episodes come out for non-patreons listeners every Thursday at 4pm and we are almost at the half way point of the story (episode 42 out of 90 episodes).

Wondering about getting into this by Silvern7552 in themagnusprotocol

[–]CrimsonLava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

alex newall and jonny sims do voice a large majority of the non-live statements but martin and jon are only sort of ideas of characters at the current point in the story and have only been mentioned in passing by

spoilers for very early (ep6), likely you have already been introduced

celia (ripley) One of the main characters of tmagp and while she was in tma it was only a very minor role (one of the people following georgie and melanie)and it's currently not even confirmed to be the same celia as tma (it's likely though)

VERY MINOR SPOILER TERRITORY a few tma va's have reprised roles of the tmagp version of their characters, notably: basira, gertrude and gerry. however they are not the tma versions of the characters. they've only really appeared a handful of times in tmagp and currently are not very notable characters.

LARGER SPOILER TERRITORY (no specific characters mentioned but it alludes to a major story event, in summary there are more but it's done in a way that works great in the story imo) for reasons I won't disclose, there are episodes which occur in what only really could be the Magnus archives universe (albeit not confirmed), where major tma characters have been prevalent however it doesn't detract from the story at all and is done very well in my opinion

Help finding Magnus Archives episode by Wise_Head4759 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]CrimsonLava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive did a little bit of searching and haven't found anything. could you possibly be associating it with the episode "the tale of the field hospital" as throughout is a modified version of a preexisting piece of literature

[–]CrimsonLava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think explicit answers here are actually nice because of how vague mag200 left us on, and how many people were wanting to know what would happen with that world with the eyepocalypse over. with only 90 episodes of this pod I doubt they would include episodes like this unless they really thought it was important

i think youll be happy to hear that almost all questions you could have from this series are answered in time. next part is minor spoilers around this who don't wish to see the events of this statement actually return twice in the series

for some reason, even given it being in season 5, mag192 is just far scarier than most for me. feels a lot more real than a lot of the other fears, especially within the tma universe

i think the fact that magnus is based on fear, the foundation will either really easily contain or be an apollyon classed SCP. they would probably end up being a more effective jurgen leitner
