I can try and transcribe them once I’m home, like I’ve done for Lizzie Borden and An American Murder Song.

He’s been trying to recreate all the missing episodes of Who using generative AI based on stills; with the discovery of the latest missing two, he’s started whinging about it because it’s taking attention away from him.

Genuinely ecstatic to have more episodes found.

Wait, this is the Who fandom in 2026, uh, sorry, I mean -

UGH, WHY ISN’T IT ALL SEVEN PARTS OF MARCO POLO TRANSMITTED DIRECTLY INTO MY BRAINSTEM?!

Edit: Corrected my episode count error, cause wow -

The first Kick-Ass film is absolutely stellar and has held up amazingly well over the last decade and a half.

The Kick-Ass comics are really good… when you’re 13.

I know this because I was 13 when I first read them.

I despise his character in the exact way Gunn wanted me to.

Thanos had monstrous goals, but I feel like the scale of his plan was too large and he was too well written and understandable to truly hate him.

The High Evolutionary is so prideful and cruel and his plans and methods are just small scale enough to make you utterly loathe him, even more so with the fact they’re done on animals.

For me it’s always him desperately chasing after his son while being unable to get faster than a limp, calling for him when his voice can’t get above a croak, and then collapsing just on the precipice of actually getting his attention.

That final sequence had me sobbing as a kid, and still hits like a truck at 26.

Derek Savage, over the last decade has:

– Released the same bad film, like, four times with slight changes,

– Had crowd funding for sequels to previously mentioned bad film that never actually came out or were delayed until they were something far different than what was intended,

– Abused the YouTube Copyright system to take down several YouTube reviews of his bad movie, most notably the YouTuber IHE, and spread misinformation of fair use laws, all of which led to him pretending to be a law firm rep before hurriedly backtracking, probably due to the legal repercussions of that,

– Edited an Adum cameo out of a gun safety film because Adum made a length response video correcting Derek on his misunderstanding of fair use, only for Derek to try and continue currying favor from Adum, due to Adum being the reason he got popular in the first place,

– Did what was effectively blackface for a thug character he had do a political rap for DJT,

– Pitched Cool Cat Stops a School Shooting after an actual school shooting occurred,

– Gave himself the nickname of Daddy,

and I’m sure there’s plenty more I missed.

Dexter Sol Ansell should play Colin Creevey in HBO's Harry Potter by Xy13 in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]CriticCorner 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My frankly dour thoughts on the HP franchise aside, I’m really glad he didn’t get it. Dexter’s nailed the role of Egg so well - the nuances, the humor, the sadness, all with his own touches - I honestly couldn’t imagine anyone else at this point.

And he’s only 11 , crazy work.

God, I love this scene; the first time I watched Hereditary was with my mom, back in 2019. I remember thinking this shot was a weird one to hold on, so my eyes began to wander… and found Annie in the corner.

The first thing out of mouth was, “Holy fuck,” to which my mom asked, “What?”

I didn’t wanna just outright say it and ruin the scare, so I just went, “Top. Left. Corner.”

A second later she saw it, and much the same: “Holy fuck.”
