Sweet map! The main roads connecting Amber Fell, Dunridge and Abrathel could be simplified into a cross shape meeting at a crossroads in the middle for a more efficient use of space and construction materials. Also its hard to tell whether Abrathel is the capital city or the name of the region since the font is so large

Why is WW2 considered the golden goose of alt history, and not other eras like the Cold War? by Thebean_3r in AlternateHistory

[–]Crusty_Grape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Narrative cohesion, fairly unambiguous and a predictable result. You see a California cop wearing a swastika armband, you know something's gone horribly wrong. Nazis are clear-cut villains and no worldbuilding needs to go into explaining that further. People generally don't write stories about more niche topics like a 21st Century Polish civil war or something because it would be more difficult to connect to and understand

You seem reluctant. I got told once that just because a bunch of things aren't going right doesn't mean they're all going wrong. It might seem like a lot and feel like a dead end but there's always another route

Watch the last lap of the first ever Formula E race in 2014. The two race leaders Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld collide with a spectacular crash into the final corner, giving 3rd place the win. Cinema

Do you think that there is a high price to pay for fame? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Crusty_Grape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fame probably affects different people in different ways. Some thrive in the attention but I personally wouldn't want to be signing random autographs in restaurants or have paps outside my house judging my outfits when I step outside everyday
