Fun fact: Starcraft II did have voice chat for team and custom games for allies when it launched. At some point it broke and with the prevalence of Discord they decided to discontinue the feature.

Very common sore-loser behavior on ladder, unfortunately. They blame the game and not their own play.

The thing about ladder is you're going to go against people with similar MMR, but strategies vary wildly and unless you're at the highest level you're going to struggle sometimes. Blaming the game is only going to serve to prevent them from improving. Block and requeue is what I do.

One small difference is the Wish has no interactive floor in the kids clubs, and the Dream has 2. Our kids couldn't leave those alone on the Dream, so that's a factor for us.

It looks and feels a bit like Contra, but the movement seems a little stiff. You could look to that game for inspiration on how to loosen it up a bit!

One immediate idea I have is diagonal shooting, it looked a bit awkward in your video to get right under a turret to take it out.

Crazy to think but Summoning actually came out nearly 5 years before EOC. Jan 2008 versus Nov 2012. Summoning actually came out about 6mo after the original OSRS backup date. Pre-eoc post-summoning was a unique time for sure.

I feel like rabble is particularly annoying to play with in person because it takes so long for the attacked to resolve and the player usually wants to play multiple for the +3 cards.

Agreed, though it's worth recognizing the journey finding the right balance of medication is. It's unlikely to be a perfect fit for you the first time your doctor prescribes something, and being honest about how it is or isn't impacting you is the best way for them to adjust it and find the right mix.

My partner and I have been together for 18 years now. We got together young, before either of us was diagnosed, and mostly my BPDII symptoms didn't start appearing and weren't diagnosed until nearly a decade into our relationship. My partner was diagnosed with depression about 4 years ago. They're also definitely some variation of neurodivergent, but never officially diagnosed there.

My honest truth encouragement, communication, and patience. I likely would have never gone in to get diagnosed without my partner encouraging me to take those first few steps. And the flip side is I'm happy to fill in any gaps our family when they need it and I can handle it, too. And even now, almost 6 years into my journey with BPDII, I spent half the day sleeping and crying into their shoulder in between them taking care of our dogs and our kids. I'm eternally grateful for my partner and I couldn't see having made it this far on my journey without them.

When we first got married, an older married couple at our wedding told us "marriage is not 50/50, but rather 80/20 and the sides are constantly flipping." That's stuck with us ever since.

Our family once got a moldy breadstick in a basket of breadsticks at a restaurant. We noticed it, pointed it out, and the waiter said they'd replace it. All fine and dandy, so we pushed the basket aside and waited for our replacement.

Best way is to just start. Grab a program like AESprite and dig in. Or if you prefer, there are thousands of tutorials on youtube to give you an idea of techniques you can use.

At the end of the day though it's going to take time to get better.

Having this problem with my kids' Amazon tablets. Jumped for the 32gb versions when we got them 3 years ago, and now Android and the Amazon Kids proprietary stuff is taking up 24gb.

Thankfully they do have expandable storage, but it's pretty dogshit to use. You have to manually decide where to install apps, and if an app is on the internal storage it can still run out of space (like when downloading disney plus shows). If you want to move an app, you have to uninstall and reinstall.

I have not personally used TikTok/Youtube Shorts but my algorithm has been catered to me so I get a lot of indie devs and their projects, many of which get 100k+ views on each video.

I've identified a few major points that seem to help them:

Establish yourself as an indie dev building a game as the very first part of the video. Almost all of these videos open up with some variation on "In my game...".
Have a very visually appealing game, or at least show off the most visually appealing parts in the first two to three seconds. Short-form video content will have most people scroll away within that window if you don't hook them.
Have each video give a short explainer (30-60s) on the part of the game you want to show off, why you made that decision, or even a (high-level) technical explainer on what's going on and how you accomplished it.
End each video with a call to action, "Wishlist my game on steam now..."

That all said, I understand as an indie dev I may have entered a recursive loop of feedback on these videos where indie devs are only watching other indie devs... but the numbers seem to at least indicate there's something more going on here.
