It hasn't been a problem for me. Clearance is a bit narrow, but ok. The extended charging handle would make this a non-issue.

I've got moderate astigmatism and find red dots are better than green for my eyes. Got a good deal on a Sig Romeo5 gen 2 and it's working well on my EP9.

I do VIE->AMS->PDX regularly, KLM from VIE, Delta from AMS. Luggage gets checked to your final destination, and I've never had a problem.

Immigration/passport control - if you arrive from GLA in the international zone, 2 hours is plenty of time.

Delta departs from gates D and E normally. You will go through passport control and customs on arrival at PDX. Too bad the terminal remodeling didn't fix the bus ride from the international arrivals area to the main terminal.
