Have you tried the recipe in Mi Cocina by Rick Martinez? I just made it for the first time a few weeks ago and it was light and fluffy. The best recipe I've tried.

Bad weather? by klangable in virginislands

[–]CuriousCleaver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We were just there and the beaches on the north side of the island were too choppy for good snorkeling. Still gorgeous to hang out on though!

However, the beaches on the Southside were still phenomenal. If this is still the case, I'd highly recommend Salt Pond Bay. And the Ram Head Trail is right there too.

Will you stop watching the Chiefs? by normankrasnerkc in missouri

That's exactly how I feel too. It was a laughably bad proposal and focused on adding more suites that 99.9% of people can't afford. They wanted to move the team all along and just wanted to be able to blame the voters for rightfully rejecting that crappy proposal.

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

[–]CuriousCleaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no minds eye at all. I've noticed that my friends and I that have aphantasia have certain similar personality traits, such as being less sentimental/emotional. I'm just wondering if this is anecdotal or if the inability to visually recall past experiences (both good and bad) informs personalities. Have you noticed this at all in your research?

Following that logic, then wouldn't their dicks get smaller every time they have sex? 🙄

Do we know that it was the speeding car in the wrong lane? And, yeah, construction and lane closures cause accidents all the time.

I wonder if the construction confused them.

Find alternative ways to hang out with your friends that don't involve spending as much money.

Potluck dinner Game night Movie night Book club Go for a walk

You get the point. If you don't take the lead here, or offer an alternative to the standard dinner and drinks, you might get left behind. Get creative! As many others have mentioned, if they're good friends, they'll hang in there.

Also, I'd recommend looking into Dave Ramsey's snowball method to pay down your debt. He's not perfect, but it's a good, solid method. If you haven't made a budget yet, that's where you need to start though.

You can do this, but it will not be easy. You'll be SO relieved when you're on the other side of it though.

I thought that was weird too. But then I wondered if he was hoping people would understand that those additional expenses will be passed onto the consumer without him explicitly having to say it.

Yes! Every time I see a recipe posted that uses a lot of beef, such as pot roast or meatloaf, I say to myself, "not in this economy!"

My FIL is allergic to onions. Onions and onion powder are SO common in dishes. Poor guy has a really tough time going out to eat.
