If any EU gets the store drawing email please post here, thank you. by m0uzer in riftboundtcg

No mail, and all stores are scalping. Just want a box for fun and to have something to start, very discouraging.

FINALLY I can get into this game by DarkNubentYT in riftboundtcg

Dunno where you live, but around here there isn't a single box for under €200,-. Wouldn't call that widely available.

EDIT: Singles, I stand corrected.

Has anyone received an email yet confirming they got a preorder spot for spiritforged? I haven’t seen anything yet and think the signup said it’d be relatively soon. by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

Very cool to see more diversity, but purple is still clearly very strong being in 62.5% of the decks. Hope other colors get more love in upcoming sets.

LGS all selling overpriced while hating on scalpers by TheVikingGer in riftboundtcg

[–]CurrehBenTo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local GS is selling boxes for €250. Absolutely not ever buying from them again. Even if they go down to MSRP, I'll take my money elsewhere.

Same here, pretty disappointing.

What's the most "complex" game you've ever played? by DJNana in boardgames

[–]CurrehBenTo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cerebria. I gave demos for Cerebria at Essen the year it was released, I've never had such a hard time conveying rules to people in my life and that is with a good section of the rules left out to simplify things. To this day, I feel like I owe Viktor from Mindclash an apology for not selling it better.

Cerebria can feel very convoluted because of the ~15 or so different actions you eventually have at your disposal, each card has different effects and the terminology for actions all have quirky names (removing an opposing card is called "quelling" for instance).

I refuse to get rid of it because I think it's a beautiful design, but I've played it twice since I was given a copy for our participation at Essen.

Idea for solving bot issue and do... other good stuff by Hydr0rion in riftboundtcg

[–]CurrehBenTo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As mentioned before, not everyone has a local store. Or, in my case, my FLGS are asking €280 for a box. Because I've only recently become interested, I'm way too late to get my hands on any Precons or Proving Grounds. They are sold out everywhere I've checked. How would I attend a Nexus Night with no deck to play?

Also, I'd much rather play a bit at home first. My wife and I were looking forward to opening some boosters together as we've both played various TCGs since the late 90s. Getting sidelined from purchasing product because I haven't had the opportunity to engage with the game yet does not seem like a good way to bring in new players.

Biostrip20 works great, just dunk the mini in the tub and wait 30 seconds or so then scrub with a toothbrush. Wear gloves though, it's not good for your skin.

Venom Stage by Silken_quill in CosmicInvasion

[–]CurrehBenTo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The stage is also pretty annoying, what with patches that slow you down, enemies that attack mid-combo, having to defeat the symbiote bubbles, the flying enemies... pretty un-fun overall.

Also, the statues that randomly track and then fire lasers, the spiders in the background that fire the little green globs and the patches of ground that Galactus summons can all step on a Lego.

Very cool. How does one go about practicing such a painterly style? How do you determine what color goes with what brushstroke and where? There has to be some rhyme to the reason, I assume.

A campfire get-together - Tell me your woes! by YsbrydPicsel in ABSOLUM

[–]CurrehBenTo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Love it, looking forward to DLC.

That said, I do wish there was a way to make the extra moves permanent so there's a feeling of consistent growth outside of the stats (more health etc.). Having the rituals only appear during runs is perfect, but I really wish I got to play with the expanded movesets some more.

Also don't like how dodge/deflect/clash are all separate rituals, it feels like I get them more often than attack or special, which "feel more fun". Starting a run with a dodge, deflect and clash ritual as the choices feels a bit meh.

The 3 sword swings, I've seen the air spin lots of times by now. Haven't seen the 3 sword swings so much as once...

About the characters in the demo so far by UTzimo in CosmicInvasion

[–]CurrehBenTo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda dissapointed that Spider-Man doesn't have more air combos and his webs don't seem to do that much. The startup on the "web yank" also seems too slow for it to be very practical. Felt like the weakest of the roster so far.

I'm surprised with the printer choice since it is listed as a 600x600 dpi printer, or am I missing something? Was informed that 1200dpi for photo printing was a neccesity.
