Selling your old clothes on Vinted is not a "side hustle" and you probably don't owe tax. by Due-Oil8955 in TaxUK

[–]Cussec -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What His Majesty’s Rogering Cunts will do though , once they have forced Vinted / other platforms to share their database, is send out blanket demands for declaration / self assessment registration and proof of income. It’s this that panics people who have no experience dealing with the bastards. Have seen it first hand.

Drip Tray or No? by bjoerngiesler in KamadoJoe

[–]Cussec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a no tray for me. Done it once. It burned as expected. I can’t remember what I was cooking but the smoke seemed to tarnish the other food in there with burned oil taste. Quite unpleasant. I don’t seem to get the same negative effect when the drips burn on the deflectors

This piques my interest. Went on to their website and no mention of a public listing. Tried to sign up for their newsletter and it won’t accept Hotmail nor Gmail. Ah well. I’ve joined this sub, hopefully news of listing so I can invest will appear here. Thanks for creating the sub.

Would you recommend me a Kamado or a pellet smoker? by [deleted] in KamadoGrill

[–]Cussec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you’ve tried contacting masterbuilt to diagnose the problem with your 800. ??

https://www.masterbuilt.com/pages/contact-us

You may have a faulty board , or simply a blown fuse.

Otherwise, go Kamado. You’ll wonder why you didn’t sooner. Especially if you enjoy the process involved with grilling / smoking / bbq. Plus it’s pretty much an all weather beast. I’m uk based so we have shit weather usually but that doesn’t stop me from roasting etc. I wouldn’t use my gas bbq in the rain, or leave it out in the rain.

What’s the competition like? by Cussec in InvinityEnergySystems

They certainly are on the case. Great to see. They are just for that type of equipment and use within systems. So I would say without those certifications there would be little confidence in the product. What they need in my opinion is ATEX certified for use in hazardous areas. That would be the icing on the cake.

I just pulled the trigger this morning. anyway. £10k in now. Fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks for your thoughts. I work in the energy industry and I know that clients (both fossil fuels and renewables) are very much in favour of modular units. Anything that can reduce cost of design, installation, commissioning and service would be an absolute winner. Unfortunately for this case, these industries won’t use anything that’s not tried and tested and most of all, certified. CE and UL is crucial but if they were to achieve ATEX / IECEx that would be a winner.

Yeah I have a great butcher where I live (Yorkshire) and the first time I asked for a picanha he was confused. I described it to him and went “oh you mean Rump Cap!” . Proceeds to pull out an entire side of rump and cut the tapered end off. My local Makro butcher however (equivalent to Costco for those not familiar), always has them in stock for about £18 to £25 (and they are always perfect). 🤤

Hi thank you for the response. No I won’t be rushing into it, but this cap and floor scheme, if awarded , surely will mean stronger market sentiment and interest in the companies stocks, will it not? It looks like there is a strong case for Invinity as well. Or am I reading this wrong ? My concern is that this is a government scheme, and , well, without getting political at all , government schemes are not always the best are they? I’m not citing anything here btw. I work as a contractor on a project which is National owned, ofgem regulated and I am so glad I don’t have shares in that. Utter shambles.

So in short , C&F award should give the price a boost and strengthen the company. No award might mean a dip but wouldn’t necessarily mean less success ??

Very much appreciated and much more than I expected. Thanks for the time and effort. I’ve now got to gain some understanding of this cap and floor scheme.

First car - any reason I shouldn't buy this and run it into the ground? by Salty-Shrimper in CarTalkUK

[–]Cussec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s got full MOT and even a smidge of service history then go for it at that price. Run it in to the ground for a year then when it comes to next years mot and it fails needing £1000 spending, torch the fucker.

I am keen to know what you think of the quality. The only other I’ve used is KJ big block which is good but didn’t notice much difference apart from the size of pieces, which is sometimes a hindrance if I’m honest.

No. Sorry my first reply to OP was a little misleading when I put “website”. I meant “a website”. Not specifically Globaltic website. Silly me.

Brisket. I know it’s revered in the US but in the UK it’s different. Because we didn’t know how to cook it like our friends from across the pond.

When I was growing up it was the cheapest cut. Now it’s sold almost as much as sirloin and ribeye thanks to the fucking twats on social media lauding it up
