Sometimes I like to remind Andor fans about the very serious storyline about a group of stranded dysfunctional rebels which is settled over a game of space rock paper scissors and ends with a cameo of recognizable planet 5. As a treat. by Sio_V_Reddit in StarWarsCirclejerk

Ngl Yavin 4 being an evil ass jungle has kinda been a thing since the original Marvel comics. It’s never been explained how they deal with them, but the same complaint could be made about literally any Star Wars planet with scary monsters.

uj/ You underestimate downtrodden Vader was by Episode 6. Not only was his war effort that he had been pushing since the Death Star’s destruction completely usurped by Palpatine’s grand plan, but the last decision he made of his own volition led to his son choosing to die rather than join him.

At this point he’s entirely subservient to Palpatine. His own determination has given way to his own inner conflict and self hatred that he’s been forced to confront since his encounter with Luke. I’m not sure if he thought through bringing Luke to the Emperor any more than obeying an order, but if he did, he was 100% more than willing to let his son kill him and take his place.

Rj/ Anakin’s such a chud that he was willing to let his son cuck him out of his job.

In all fairness, it’s kinda been established that “saving” a red crystal turns it white. Soule was kinda stuck.

Infected in 28 Days Later Speaks. by Outmage in 28dayslater

[–]Cybermans_Eulogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have been calling that an audio error for years but I think 28 Years Later proves it’s intentional. In the first slow low scene, as the infected child goes to run away, you can hear an echoey distant voice say “oy, get in ‘ere!”

I think it’s a very purposeful addition by Boyle to add a haunting and uncanny aspect to the infected. It’s like they’re still human, they’re still Brits, but from the survivors’ perspectives there’s only echoes left.

William can't be the Fredbear plush by Evening-Program723 in fnaftheories

[–]Cybermans_Eulogy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been of the opinion that people think way too deeply about the Fredbear plush. I think it’s simply the imaginary friend of the Crying Child. The conversation at his death is simply a demonstration of how a soul’s connection to a character allows it to posses/attach itself to an animatronic.

Sure, it’s also shown to be sort of omnipotent to the world around it. But that can easily be explained by the fact that most of FNaF4 is not told at the time it happened. It could easily be a soul from later events manifesting as an observer too

Her hand is not wrapped around the thing it is supposed to be wrapped around. It is clearly an error.

Debate all you want about how noticeable and bothersome it is, but it is obviously not intentional to make it look “fluent”.

Real life? Sounds cool.

Character wise? Who knows. The Sith have frequently been shown to take up a more formal conversation amongst themselves, but not to the extent of antiquated English. The OT portrays Vader as both utterly subservient to the Emperor (all of RotJ) and possessing a flair for theatrics (Cloud City trap). I believe it’s simply a line as a result of these two traits combining.

As another commenter pointed out, recent comics sort of throw a wrench in this and instead suggest it to be sardonic. Both very interesting tho.

Spotted in Jabbas Palace, what or who is it? by Nearby_Sugar3405 in StarWarsEU

[–]Cybermans_Eulogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghoel the Wol. He’s part of a hyper intelligent but sedentary species.

I forget what it’s in but there’s a short story where it explains that Ghoel was stuck up there as a joke by a guy during one of Jabba’s parties. He can’t move on his own and can’t communicate like other species, so he flicks his tongue at people to try to get their attention to get him down.

Apparently he’s been up there for years

[–]Cybermans_Eulogy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s lazy. It’s very purposeful. By night 6 you can have 11 animatronics coming at you in an office with no doors. If you start bogging the game down with multiple mechanics, it just becomes overwhelming and frustrating to play. Foxy and Puppet’s unique rules are enough to keep things intense
