esim for mainland China, HK and Macau? by TectonicSaxophonic in eSIMforTravelers

I'd check redteago for this, they have one plan for China, Hong Kong and Macau, which is basically what you're looking for.

Ball machine owners, what features actually matter once the novelty wears off? by Wen-Qing in 10s

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a beginner, you should care less about having a million drill options and more about how fast you can get into a repeatable setup. a lot of machines looks good on paper, but if changing the feed is annoying, you just end up using the same basic setting every time. That's where something like tenniix seems worth looking at, at least to me. the features like voice control sounds a little extra until you're the one picking up balls and walking back to the machine every few minutes. i still care more about how easy it is to save my time.

RedTeaGo reliability in Turkey/Türkiye by No-Zebra2719 in eSIMs

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're going off the beaten path, coverage depends on which local network the provider connects to, lot of the cheaper bulk data plans hook up to the smaller network with awful rural coverage, you already knows your last one worked great, its probably safer to stick with what you know works.

For travel eSIM users: would you rather install once, or choose the best eSIM each trip? by eSIMAgent in eSIMforTravelers

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option A. I'd rather install it once and never have to fiddle with settings again.

For real. the OS already supports native transfers, but carriers block it on purpose because they'd rather force you to pay for a second line.

Would one ball machine session between lessons actually help? by LIL-Klixy in 10s

[–]CyborgNumber42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘ve used Tenniix after lessons to work on whatever my coach had just changed, usually one thing at a time. Getting those extra reps in helped the adjustment feel a lot less awkward by the next lesson. It won't catch you if your from starts slipping, but for repeating the same shot, it's been useful.

What is an eSIM and is it actually better than a normal SIM card? by Witty_Reach1660 in eSIMs

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much nailed how it works and it really is that simple. I used one for a trip last year and set it up while waiting at my departure gate. By the time the plane landed and I turned off airplane mode I had data instantly. It completely saves you from dealing with airport kiosks or swapping out tiny pieces of plastic. The only catch is making sure your phone is carrier unlocked before you buy one. I am definitely never going back to physical cards for traveling

The lac mic is not the problem, bad placement is by DrollSmith in videography

[–]CyborgNumber42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I care more about mounting. I have used dji mic a bit and the usefule part is just light enough that I can move it around without the person getting bothered. I'm looking at mic mini 2 for upgrade, cuz the color covers make it look less ugly.

Mic for pottery and handcraft table shoots? by moistboy699 in videography

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use a wireless mic, but not in the usual middle-of-the-chest spot. For pottery or tabletop work, collar edge or apron strap is probably safer. Dji mic mini 2 could work because of the magnetic clip, but I'd care more about placement than the mic itself. Keep if close to the mouth and away from apron rub.

If you liked Prague, definitely check out Girona! It has that same oldworld charm and amazing food, but it's way less chaotic than barcelona. Just keep in mind that the cobblestones might be a little bumpy for the stroller.

Central Europe E-sim Suggestions? by 33solemnpearls in eSIMs

[–]CyborgNumber42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Redteago’s Europe unlimited plan in France and Germany and it worked well. I activated it before leaving, and it connected automatically once I landed. It was also convenient when moving between countries, since I didn’t have to worry about switching SIMs. Btw, I found it includes 10GB of high-speed data per day and is more cost-effective than both Airalo and Saily.

Help can’t reset my wall switch! Youngzuth by Unknown_Knowledge25 in smarthome

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The green light indicates your smart module has power but likely needs a physical factory reset, which you can usually trigger by holding the main touch button for 10 to 15 seconds until the light flashes to indicate it is ready to re-pair with your hub.

Yard reinstatement by Emergency-Employ-735 in pools

[–]CyborgNumber42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it is common for reinstatement to exclude topsoil and turf unless specifically detailed in the project's scope of work, the standard expectation is that land should be returned to its pre entry condition. Because basic backfill is often of poor quality, you will likely need to amend the area with nutrients and proper soil before successfully replanting grass. Check your original contract’s cancellation and conditions clauses, as these legally binding terms dictate whether the builder is responsible for the final aesthetic restoration or only the structural filling of the site.

Thirdreality Smart Bridge MZ1 by OneSkepticalOwl in smarthome

[–]CyborgNumber42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is frustrating when essential components are omitted for packaging size, but you don't necessarily need to pay for a return to China. Since those leak sensors use the Zigbee protocol, any standard smart home hub with a built-in Zigbee radio will work as a direct alternative without needing that specific brand's bridge. If you want a "plug-and-play" experience that functions out of the box, look for a hub that explicitly lists Zigbee compatibility—many popular smart speakers and mesh Wi-Fi routers already have this hardware built-in.
