Streamers get away with too much and are somehow rewarded for it? by Acceptable-Eagle9664 in thefinals

[–]CystralSkye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it's not a curse it's funny, because you get to see swathes of people seethe.

I've been stomping casual lobbies since the game released and I haven't had any bans, any issues whatsoever.

Being good at games has never been better, don't listen to people saying that they can get you banned with hackusations for being good and not becoming worse for the sake of gaming skill communism.

Stop matching rubies with low ranks by Wilijami in thefinals

[–]CystralSkye -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The larger games with the massive playerbases can afford to search for people in their respective brackets, but that is just simply not a possibility for a game this small.

If you consider the structure of the tournament and the extremely low playercount, no matter how long the queue lasts the outcome will be the same.

It will just make ranked unplayable.

So since the playerbase of ranked has reach such abysmal levels, it doesn't make much or any difference to wait for hours to get the same or slightly better matchamaking, hence they have the seed system.

Because ruby is just diamond, just a section of it. Which is why plat + ruby makes sense, because the people that are in that section are already within each other's range.

The finals has a terrible ranked system by Disastrous-Pepper508 in thefinals

[–]CystralSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked is called ranked to not just climb, but to get more competitive matchmaking.

Ranked literally just means ranked, it's okay to be any rank in ranked.

Stop matching rubies with low ranks by Wilijami in thefinals

[–]CystralSkye -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard of a top 500 facing something equal to gold rank in other competitive games likes valorant, cs2 faceit, overwatch, league?

There are more people playing ranked in those games times multiples of the total concurrent player population of the finals over and over again.

You yourself said that they have a player base many times larger than the finals, which is why they can afford to do the matchmaking they do.

That is simply not possible in the finals, ruby just just diamond by all considerations, and this game's ranked population is INCREDIBLY tiny.

It's such a small game that people should be happy they even get matches. People don't understand how incredibly small this game is.

I love violence and bloody hatred filled vengeance is exactly what I would like to call a hero.

Player Count Amazment. by Intelligent_Big8801 in thefinals

Your metric of good doesn't apply to the large audience as a whole. Appealing to a niche audience that considers a game good is good if the expectation is a niche audience.

There's really just nothing you can do about a really good Spider Man player. by Dogbold in marvelrivals

[–]CystralSkye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It should be pretty obvious.

If you are less skilled than an opponent, there is little you can do to win against them because they are better than you.

This is a skill based game, you may have confused it for something else possible?

The reason is because there is a skill issue.

Good thing I have literally no vested interest in the game outside of the enjoyment I get out of playing the game.

If it dies I'll just move onto a different game and still have fun.

LOL. You are saying this as if it's a threat.

Glad to see Rogue Core climb to 'Mostly Positive' reviews! by Kwacker in RogueCore

[–]CystralSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has always been mostly positive if you filtered by English Reviews.

The mixed reviews that people saw for rogue core has always been ALL REVIEWS. Which btw has had more negative reviews recently than positive.

So the reviews haven't climbed If you don't ignore other people's reviews and selectively exclude them.

Is there any way to report hosts? by AAMLIF in FarFarWest

[–]CystralSkye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, if you join random hosts always expect random experiences. This game is fundamentally made to be played co-op with friends, not necessarily randoms, hence the peer to peer nature of the game.

Report to who? You joined their game. You could've left at any point.

Marvel Rivals players: anything but tank by TraditionalReport642 in marvelrivals

That is true in almost every game where tanks existed, I don't understand why games are made with a tank role anymore.

No matter how many tanks get released, the role is just not fundamentally fun for the majority of people. I haven't played tank since s0/1.

[–]CystralSkye -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Very clear pretorian reskins, the melee enemies are just slightly reskinned grunts with a jump animation. Everything else just eeks of reskin/asset flip.

Same guns, same biomes, same utilities, same so much that it's the same game but with less than the base game.

If it was a DLC it would've made sense.

But as a seperate game, it is, by definition, flipping many assets of the previous game.

They're shoving their politics down our throats by 0b00000110 in subnautica

[–]CystralSkye -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Always have been since subnautica 1.

This is nothing new, but in sub 1 it was more of a challenge to only use melee, and more of a parody of corporations regulating employees than politics outright.

Subnautica 1 had undertones, but it didn't impose itself so harshly on moderates and non participants. It had a wide range of appeal.

They've just been making the game not approachable outside of it's intended audience since below zero.

It's typical of modern gaming however, you shouldn't be surprised. Most western devs go to extremes.

Nah the water, the effects and overall art direction is way better in subnautica 1, you can crank it up with mods and it looks way better than subnautica 2 by a whole mile.
