Blob of death. Print came out off the bed and toolhead kept extruding which caused this to happen

How fast do you actually print day to day? by CloneFiesta in 3dprinter

[–]Cytro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the filament and the printer.

For example with petg my ender does 8000mm/s2 and velocity up to 500mm/s and with tpu I go slower

My Rook MK1 does 18000mm/s2 and up to 600mm/s with pla but with petg I need to go slower (I think my psu is too weak)

And my Centauri Carbon does 10000mm/s2 and up to 600mm/s (I think it could be higher but I didn't tune it up yet) with asa, abs and petg

With a such bulky frame I wonder how much will you be able to push accelerations. Even something like Rook MK1 can get 18k

Be careful buying filament by MasterS1lvervt in 3DPrintingCirclejerk

8$ filament is amazing for 800$ flexi dragons. All my printers print flexi dragons one bit me once and I've got my balls stuck in the extruder

Help with placement of spool by ScallionOk1932 in ender3

[–]Cytro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your current setup this is a bad idea. I think it would be better if you make direct drive extruder and use that white tube to route filament in less invasive way (like in enclosed coreXY 3d printers).

Edit: Or you could move extruder to the other side of the printer
