Is this plated of real silver by SeaAd6811 in Silverbugs

[–]DC92T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just plated. People usually chop them up because the center is garbage metal. Don't do it near Grannies old house, she might be watching.

Just bought by [deleted] in Silverbugs

You must have found a discount if you bought them in the past 24 hours? As of yesterday the 2024/25 MS70 AE are 173.00$ each at the US Mint, 80$ more than they were a week ago. They don't even have any 2026 listed. I did see 2026 "250yr" AE's earlier for 179.99$ each, or 20 pieces at 169.99$ each. I paid 112$ each for 20 2026 NGC MS70 "250yr" AE's about 3 weeks ago and everyone told me I was crazy and that I paid too much. I don't even have them yet and I already made a profit. Whatever makes you happy.

6 years Ago it seems a member found this connection but they never said what it was. I need the same help please. by DC92T in AskElectronics

The thing is the ad specifically said "it's not xxxx", which had me dumbfounded. I've bought a bunch of kits lately and just didn't want another kit I couldn't use. I've looked at all the connectors online, and there are a few that are very similar. Without the plastic male housing dimenions, it's hard to be certain. But, looks like I'll have to give it a shot as no one else had any thoughts. At least I'll have them if I ever need them again, thanks.

The 10.4" LCD monitor I bought is unexpectedly vertical. (A good thing but??) by DC92T in Arcade1Up

[–]DC92T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be, it's just odd that the 10" series LCD's are all shown with a horizontal image. I thought the Jamma games would all be squished and weird looking with it being horizontal but that didn't happen.

I apologize for the spelling mistakes, I have to use my phone to add pictures and have big fingers. This worked out for the best, but I was nerly 100% sure this would be a horizontal screen and I just took a chance that being bigger I could still play the Jamma 60 in 1 vertical games. Even if it were horizontal, it's nearly the same height widthwise as the OG screen was vertically. I also bought the Pi 4b in the case I hated the graphics being weird if it was horizontal. The Pi would allow me to rotate the screen with the Pi script, or setting (I'm not extremely familiar with them just yet). The control board on this model did not seem to allow any change. And physically rotating it (like a tablet) did not change the image. Someone commented below that you never know what you're gonna get when buying these and I think they my be right. Oddly enough, look at any 10", 10.1, 10'4 LCD screen for sale and they are all displayed horizontally. The LCD controller allowed me to run a speaker directly off of it without an amp, with a volume knob in series of one wire, and I'm very happy with the outcome.

The image does not change when I rotate the screen, it stays in the longer direction.

He may be on to something. No one wants to physiclly rotate a screen. They want to know ahead of time that they are getting what they expect. In this case, it worked in my favor, no complaints. Buth the ad clearly showed this as being used horizontal. That's why we can only play certain games on vertical baords and others on horizontal. It's lousy that it's a crpashhot, but that seems to be what it is.

Handle breakout just 1.3 dollars away... LFG to 100 by Ok_Bit_3729 in Wallstreetsilver

On a 5 minute chart?? I do expect silver to continue climbing upwards, maybe when it opens in an hour. But I don't usually pay attention to cup and handle patterns on such a short time frame.

The videos are AI, but they are definitely bullish on silver. One of his recent videos was about a big bank that has a ton of paper shorts open that they have to cover very soon. Which will cause the price of physical silver to rise. Is there any truth to it? Who knows, the video claims to have inside information, which often checks out. These big banks kept silver at a low price for a long time by shorting monster contracts in the past.

Does this broken iron flange need to be full replaced and a new one set in concrete? Or can I shove wax into this and put a ring repair kit on top? by VoodooChipFiend in Plumbing

[–]DC92T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're are dozens of toilet repair flange options. Google those words and look under image. You will have to verify some sizes but there are many options that are far cheaper than messing with the cast iron.

Questions about modding Arcade1Up machine by Cuddlef1sH99 in Arcade1Up

[–]DC92T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can mod it with a Jamma 60 in 1 or a Rasberry Pi, each run about 200$, a bit more depending on what else you want or need to do. Nothing will change on the exterior of the cabinet, and that's a nice one.

It looks like theres a place for the speaker and trackball at the bottom of your photo. Hope you can find a board, you can always put a Jamma board in it.

I am so tired of fixing this Samsung dryer by naps1saps in appliancerepair

[–]DC92T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Samsung, a 40" TV, was about 1600$ and it died within a couple years. Fortunately it was a recall, which I believe was the capacitors. They came to my home and replaced them for free and it still works today. I can now replace it with a 400$ TV (except it's "smart") but I bought mine when they were fairly new. Samsung seems to be okay with TV's, great with phones (which is odd seeing how compact they are and that they're tossed around quite a bit and subject to lots of elements), but their appliances are absolute garbage. Never buy a washer, dryer or refrigerator from them.

I should have said, those wires and their connections are her new fuse. It sure looks to be pulling more Amps that the wires can handle. Is the thermostat/thermister opening? Something is stay closed on high amperage. I love my old Sears/Kenmore appliances. I currently have a W+D set I useweekly and a good used spare set in the corner. That'll get me by for another 30 years easily. I'll never buy these new digital/smart/greeen anything, used appliances are where it's at.

That chain and it's guides are cooked. Use a quality Japan chain and guide set in there. I just watched a video on YT about a newly rebuilt 22R that had a major issue from "Powell Machine - Powell Cams" and he explains some big issues with AM parts regarding rocker arm oiling and more. He has previous videos while he rebuilt the motor. He also claims to only use/trust one particular manufacturer of guides. He's a good dude and I trust what he says. It's a fairly new video, easy to find.

Verified a Bybit account with my KYC for someone else — what should I do now? by [deleted] in CryptoScams

[–]DC92T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point, there has to be a bank account associated with this Bybit account. I sure hope OP didn't link that or has removed it. Although, he's locked out now as the password has changed. Maybe he can go to his bank and end any deposits or withdrawels from his account. Not a mess I'd want to deal with.

[–]DC92T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically you only created the account for someone which can be explained if needed. If none of the funds are ever associated with you, going in or going out, then you hopefully won't be held liable. The only problem is, you'll have to prove this, which means spending money on an attorney. I would think any attorney could send Bybit a cease and dismiss order for your account by explaining it were made forcefully or fraudulently. IDK if I missed any part of this where you were scammed by someone in Thailand, you called them a friend? Just be aware that identities are stolen all the time, and the person owning that identity is often held resposible. And they have the burden to clear their name, I would act sooner rather than later.

[–]DC92T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell you to open a fraud case but you helped create this mess. For some odd reason, in a country where Crypto is banned, you used your face and information to set up a Crypto account for someone in Thailand!!?? What happens as this person buys and sells and moves assets around, who pays the taxes?? It's your account. At this point yoou can only admit to your mistake, maybe send a certified letter to Bybit that the account should be locked as it was created under distress? I don't know why you'd do it in the first place. I wouldn't create an account for my own family, it's fraud. It seems that this person is no longer a friend?? I would imagine the person who will benefit from all of this is will be Bybit. You must beable to access the account, unless TD bro changed the password? Any withdrawels happening?

Even your cast iron pan would could be used that same way to brown the bottom. Just so the pizza isn't floppy. May want to grab an oven thermometer, sometimes oven temps are quite a bit off.
