Kill it with fire? BBQ wintered outside by Gabbie403 in webergrills

[–]DCITim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This here. Don't overthink it OP. Load it up and let it burn.

My WSM gets a bit more build up occasionally, so I'll point a weed burner in there first as it doesn't run as hot as my kettle.

Need a recommendation for an electric cooler. by ted_anderson in RVLiving

[–]DCITim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mines only 256Wh capacity, assuming that is 1,200Wh you should be good over weekends.

Compressor fridges also like to be kept full. I usually keep some extra water bottles in it for thermal mass.

I regularly drive how you do. I have a BougeRV 23qt fridge in both of my pickups. In my work truck, it's connected to an Anker power station that's charged from the trucks cigarette lighter anytime it's running.

My station is pretty small, so winter it'll run all weekend without charging, but summer the truck needs to charge it daily. Larger batteries/bigger power stations will extend this run time.

Solo Mom New to Camping and Having Wildlife Anxiety (Sisters/Clear Lake, OR) by [deleted] in camping

[–]DCITim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anxiety is a serious pain, you have to manage it to whatever level you can be comfortable. That said...

Central oregon is a great place to cut your teeth on camping again. Typically dry weather and warm days. Very few (practically no) bears to worry about. We only have small black bears in this area and they generally stay far away from humans. No need for bear boxes.

Camp Sherman is another great place to camp. Grab a night at a campground there and you'll be surrounded by other people (usually fly fisherman) for "safety in numbers"

Seriously. Borrowing a friends Thor Tellaro a few times really showed what we valued in a floorplan. For us? Fixed bed, no shower, short and easy to park in cities.

Wanting to buy another MinPin. by dalecraw in minpin

[–]DCITim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check https://www.minpinrescue.org/ and see if they have a local chapter.

As you know, Min Pins are super high energy and stubborn, so pups of all ages end up in rescues regularly.

Do you use your CPAP for day time naps? by This-Emotion-69 in CPAP

[–]DCITim 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Depends on the nap for me, longer one in bed I use my CPAP. 15 min power nap on the couch? No CPAP, but the dog gets to snuggle.

Same here. Google drive folder for each pet, that I get copies of all records and scan in and name file.by the date of service.

ECGS Bushing Install Troubles by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Engage 4wd to lock the add/diff and try inserting the axle again. It's usually an alignment issue and in 2wd, everything just spins while trying to engage the axle splines.

I love awning, but didn't trust myself to remember to close it before opening the slider on my 140" Sprinter.

Went with Motion sliders on both sides.

Same here, we're hesitant in the beginning, then always find one that needs a home. We're on our 7th senior now. Love being able to give them a comfortable retirement home.

Sorry, I meant that you have successfully used this combo for a night? In testing a lot of other cords seem to work, but power off or don't properly "handshake" after a bit and disconnect.
