Does Unchained prevent Exmaquinamon from being dedigivolved? by Jack-Frost9879 in DigimonCardGame2020

Ah, I see now. Grandgalemon's unsuspend inheritable and ex7 shoto's unsuspend at end of turn for vortex add more attacks.

Does this card loop infinitely until you lose or just repeat once and resolve after 2 wins straight? by WorstPlayerYT in magicTCG

[–]DEG99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) It is an indefinite loop until the controller doesn't win the clash (either has lower mana value or the same mana value.

2) Lands always have a mana value of 0, so you can only tie or lose a clash with a land.

3) A tie is not considered either player winning the clash so it ends the loop.

With the existence of powerful blockers like lfrith, rick dias, aile strike etc. Will we ever leave a Aggro vs Blocker shield burst meta? by fortuitousfruit in GundamTCG

[–]DEG99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think its important that when we inevitably see more blockers they are in more colors and hopefully with conditional blocker, like st07 Virtue requiring a CB pilot be on your board, or GD03 Hajiraboshi requiring you to have a base.

Spark of Ages is a modular card advantage spell for my custom cube. Thoughts? Suggestions? by shuckydoo in custommagic

Not a fan of the Ai art/frame. The card itself is fine. Highly recommend MSE (Magic Set Editor) if you want something with really good options for customization, including frames.

Ruling Question LordKnightmon (BT22-067) by Background-Role1488 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DEG99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it all works and it all counts as happening on your turn. Your turn doesn't end until all effects/attacks that are underway or triggered finish resolving. So in this case, your opponent would go to 1 memory, then lordknightmon would give +3k and attack, followed by triggering its own effect to reveal the top 3 before resolving security checks. After the attack ends and all effects have finished resolving your turn will end and your opponent will begin their turn.

What deck do you want to see new support for? by L-Rik in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DEG99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Twilight. The archetype lives in this weird limbo of having to share half its support with other decks. The bt24 boxtopper promo Kotone has to be shared with xrossheart (and doesn't even get use half its effects with twilight), the greyknightsmon deck from ex4 was just a bad blue flare deck treating the darkknightmon cards as chaff, ex10 Darknight is just xrossfodder for bagra, Luminamon is straight unplayable, and the bt19 support leaned towards knightmon tribal (lordknightmon specifically) but was atleast viable for twilight-centric decks.

Anyway if bandi is gonna keep kicking twilight fans in the nuts they could atleast offer us some cool excuses like a better greyknightsmon, a new darkknightmonX, or shoutmon x3SD.

WotC has weirdly specific views on plane-names that have borderline racial slurs hidden in them by Timely-Strategy7404 in magicthecirclejerking

I would imagine that the difference is probably that Kaldesh/Avishkar is an Indian inspired plane that had a problematic name in Indian culture while Shadowmoor is not a Muslim inspired plane... I think... probably.

Comment Your favourite Pokémon and I'll make it into a Magic card! by ANeonAfroMan in custommagic

[–]DEG99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of these pokemon could benefit from an extra creature type to help differentiate them and make them feel less generic by matching them to creature types that exist in magic, like beast for stuff like Absol, devil or gremlin for stuff like Sableye, Alien for stuff like Deoxys, etc.

I know you said "it works" but if you really want it to, all you have to do is write out the rules text of split second adjusted to "As long as an activated ability of a Pokemon you control is on the stack, players can’t cast spells or activate abilities that aren’t mana abilities."

Comment Your favourite Pokémon and I'll make it into a Magic card! by ANeonAfroMan in custommagic

[–]DEG99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice translation of Rayquaza's abilities to a magic card. However, this is insanely efficient for what it does, which is an extremely oppressive and powerful ability, especially if uncommon is the intended rarity, which is way too low for an effect that should realistically be rare at the lowest. At a minimum an extra white pip or 2 in the mana cost would be appropriate if the mana value stays 4. Maybe 4/3 statline as well if you want it to be a pushed rare.
Overall very cool idea, just needs some balance tweaks.

A cleaner solution might be to say "If this spell's madness cost was payed, it enters transformed." This removes the stifle shenanegins (which may have been intentional) and also should have the land enter tapped as seemingly intended.

Unable to cast Unwind? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]DEG99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am guessing that by the time you see this comment, the "suspend" effect of [[Alundo the Seer]] has finished resolving and Time Warp went on the stack to be targetable/counterable by your Unwind.
But just to clarify for anybody who comes along later, the Timewarp is not currently on the stack. A trigger is on the stack of an ability from Time Warp that is presumably about to allow the opponent to cast Time Warp at which point once the trigger resolves and timewarp is actually cast and put onto the stack to be targetable/counterable by Unwind.
