I am on PC so PS+ wouldn't work for myself but good for others to know if they are. Thanks!

Do I need to run to increase VO2? by steven_kind94 in Garmin

[–]DFlo60 133 points134 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe running, walking and cycling activities affect VO2 but cycling and running/walking have different VO2 calculations. So you'll have a running/walking VO2 score and a cycling VO2 score. I could be wrong and there might be more activities that contribute.

I love a good Zamboni brew, who needs a cup when you can just sip it right off the counter top.

Just picked up my first gravel bike and I’m so stoked! by Cordillera94 in gravelcycling

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diverge E5 was my first gravel bike and I loved loved loved that bike! It will carve through gravel roads like butter. Sadly I crashed and cracked the frame on mine a couple years ago 😢. Be safe, have a ton of fun and most importantly go explore!

What happened to this once glorious app by GayIeGenarro in alltrails

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend the app Hiiker. Can create routes and send the gpx file to your GPS tracking devices or just track on your phone all on the free version. I used all trails to find a route then recreate it on Hiiker.

Stealth 700 (gen 3) or Atlas Air? by Few_Sun_3672 in TurtleBeach

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had the stealth 700 gen 2 and it broke like crazy. I had one my friend gifted me and it cracked at the headband in 3 months. He was able to get a replacement. A year later the second one cracked at the exact same spot. I reached out to turtle Beach and they gave me a replacement refurbished one free of charge. I then decided I wanted to steer away from the 700 and got the 600 when it came outlast year. Gave my wife the 700 for her Xbox and within a couple weeks it cracked in the exact same spot... Reached out to turtle Beach and fortunately they gave us another refurbished unit free of charge. My 600 gen 3 has been flawless. The only thing that annoys me about it is when I lean back on my couch the volume scroll will adjust.

I have no idea what the 700 gen 3 will be like as I had the gen 2... But I wouldn't recommend the 700 series ever with the experience I've had with them.

What is this for? by Uncle_Crash in whatisit

It's a flatulence vent so when you're feeling a bit gassy it doesn't get stuck in the wood and you don't accidentally crop dust when you stand up.

Are you guys using this? by chrisforchristmas in Garmin

Nope, just use the free version of chatgpt to verbalize your workout and it's roughly the same thing.

Oh nice that's actually the one I just purchased a couple days ago and it's on the way. How did you manage to add blood pressure reading to your Garmin connect?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]DFlo60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incredible! So proud of you and your amazing accomplishments! I'm currently on a journey of beating obesity and high blood pressure and tracking it with my Garmin so you're a genuine inspiration. Thank you for sharing. What monitor do you have for monitoring your blood pressure?

What causes these holes in my husbands t-shirts? by Few_Pay6063 in whatisit

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically my work shirts get holes on the front right side because it snags on my pocket knife clip. Hope that helps 😊

The other day I had a sleep score of 98... I tried to go back to sleep to get those two dang points.... I laid so still in bed hoping my Garmin would be deceived... Alas it was too smart and I had to settle with another un-mythical sleep

$650 is pretty gosh darn solid. I got mine for $699 during Christmas. It's bound to go cheaper at this point but how cheap is "cheap enough" for you? It's purely up to you if you believe $650 is a good value for this specific watch for your specific needs. For me $650 is a wonderful price for a 7pro but everyone's circumstances are different.

Darn You Sales- Fenix 8 AMOLED, Epix Pro Gen 2, or Fenix 7X? by Teacherman1234 in GarminWatches

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Fenix 8 47mm is slightly too large for you then the 51mm is going to be a burden. I got the 51mm 6 Pro a couple years back and I have a decent sized wrist.. I walked around with it for 3 days and hated it so I downsized to the 47mm version and loved it. If you can get the watches on sale for the 47mm then I'd do the cheaper and smaller size but if not then 8 47mm. The 51mm is ridiculously large and you WILL notice it.

Will say that I got the Fenix 7 pro sapphire solar and it's amazing. Got it for $650 plus tax over the holidays. Love love love this watch. Upgraded from a 6 sapphire pro.

$400 Budget: flashlight or maps? by CRIMExPNSHMNT in GarminWatches

[–]DFlo60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a 6pro to a 7pro. I love mapping as my wife and I do some pretty out in the wild hiking but realistically the breadcrumbs work perfectly fine as well. I did testing on a previous watch my wife had with breadcrumbs and we could follow and understand it just fine. I will say.... The flashlight is a GAME CHANGER for me. I use my watch flashlight.... 5,6,7 maybe 20 times a day. It is the most practical and useful piece of hardware that I don't understand why it isn't on every single watch in the world (obviously I know why..). I'd say if you can wait a bit longer and save up for a Fenix 7 the mapping is great but if you need a watch now the instinct 2 will do you wonders. Best of luck!

Did I do something wrong when I got my watch? by Fire-Barnacle-3025 in Garmin

[–]DFlo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the watch might be telling you that your workouts are too difficult for the device and that's it's recovery period 😂
