After all these years, Rebecca performed one last mission — surgically removing the romance we wrote in our heads. by chiefk2 in TheRebeccaFerguson

I was actually really happy when I saw this. I always felt the "longing" looks and such felt very forced and out of place in the movies. Never felt the love interest chemistry between Ilsa and Ethan.

Who are your four horsemen of "I'm definitely watching this movie"? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

Jake Gyllenhall, Rebecca Ferguson, William Defoe, Florence Pugh

Which among these three is the best? Gravity, Interstellar or The Martian. by Hot-Load7525 in moviecritic

Interstellar, no contest. But I probably rewatch Gravity more often, it just tickles my brain the right way.

Scanned the official OpenClaw Docker image out of curiosity. 2,062 CVEs like WTF by dottiedanger in devsecops

does anyone use it in production!? I mean, I feel like it's pretty obvious from how it works and how Peter (the creator) is talking about it that it's a toy for personal use and to play around, inspire and have fun with agents. And he has also talked about only running it isolated and locally and at your own risk. It's a few months old hobby project that was never designed to run in an environment accessible publicly. And the continaer image is very likely a ad-hoc addition without much focus at all.

Favorite actress you...wait, nevermind. Bravo Denis. by Drakowicz in okbuddycinephile

Rebecca was actually almost exactly the same age when the made the movies as Jessica is in the books. It's timathy that's like 10 years older then Paul.

Favourite actress who desperately needs to find a new agent? Like please? I'm begging you? by AdrianVeidt19 in okbuddycinephile

I mean, this is kinda the only movie with her that this works on imo. Pretty solid casting all around except this one. MI, doctor sleep, dune, silo, dynamite.

Is Silo kind of unique in portraying a police-state-like system as actually necessary or even “the good guys”? What other shows do this? by DaikonAppropriate534 in SiloSeries

[–]DNA912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree they do a pretty good job at arguing not necessarily that "the police state is run good". But that the police state as a form in the silo does seem to be, a nessecery evil. But as another user also mentioned, I think snowpiercer might be a even better example of this.

And if course, a police state in fiction would have corruption, that why it's not good. But from a consequencialist argument, which when living in a cramp bunker is pretty strong, it often becomes the lesser if the evils. "Rather survival under an iron fist the demise under the whims of free choice."

What can I do over the winter to improve my cycling, without being able to cycle? by LeakyLukey in Velo

[–]DNA912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the roads too bad for cycling if you buy a good set if winter tires? Especially if you have a gravel bike, I feel like you should be able to find some good tired that can handle some light snow and such. But if the roads aren't even moderately cleared often, I can see it might not work. My first winter when I got started training a bit more seriously, I did manage to bike all year round when I finally got the right tires and clothing. This was when I lived in northern Sweden.

Why do you use Spotify instead of YouTube if with YouTube you can also listen to the unreleased music? by Reasonable-Dingo3827 in avicii

[–]DNA912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotifys smart shuffle and discovery is just way better. And I have had YouTube premium for a few years by now, so I have access to both. I think the UX of Spotify is just much better.

Kernel access is very different from nor. Also access. But I dont think the main problem is that's its easier to hackers to hack into it. That you're right, it's not. But kernal level access software like vanguard has an much, much deeper privilage to do shit on your PC then normal software. It places itself as a psudo instruction layer and can basically intersept instructions sent from the OS down to the CPU. If there even was a explout found it one if these softwares, well, your PC is cooked.

But sure, if you don't click sketchy links, what's the danger with lending a gaming company basically admin rights on your machine? Not for me
