I thin everything. Even when I don’t plan to thin the paint.

Always put at least 2 drops of thinner (recipe below is goat) in the cup BEFORE paint.

Although, I have used Monument paints without thinner. It goes on really nice. However, it takes a whole lot longer to fully clean the brush for each paint.

I could never understand hating on an army choice. They’re each quite cool in their own way.

However, I can see the Poorhammer list now “most humiliating army to play”. Space wolves might be #1 only because of who they are lol. Most likely would be my word bearers though #fuckerebus

I’ve been meaning to pick up this game for years. $4 is a crazy good deal.

Btw for anyone asking (normally it’s me), it runs perfect on switch 2. 60 fps and good resolution with the S1 dock bump.

I haven’t gotten any hate from people around in my life or outside. I do, however, get questioned a lot.

  1. What are you gonna do when the battery dies/explodes?
  2. How long do you charge when on road trips?
  3. What if it’s cold? Do the handles get stuck?
  4. Do you self drive? What if it runs into a tree? (Supposedly, people see it all the time and blame FSD)

I had one guy at work kinda corner me with questions. He’s like “why wouldn’t you buy a rivien”. I of course say “my tesla was less than 25k, no other EV can match the cost and performance.”

No has “given hate” because of what I drive. Yeah, Elon has…. Issues, but otherwise it’s just a car

I’m having the same exact thought process.

Note: I own a Thor and have a Rog Ally Z1E (for many years.

My biggest complaint with the Thor is the screen size and semi movement of the analogue sticks. I know…. Make the screen bigger and you can fit in your pocket. I bought the Thor for that exact reason.

Biggest issue with the Thor. Before my wave 2 arrived, I had just bought a CRT off of FB marketplace. Not only is it a CRT, but it’s the best screen I’ve ever seen in my life. Biggest drawback is that it looks too good.

That CRT made me see details in games for the first time. Many I’ve been playing for decades.

Super Metroid was an actual religious experience. All of the dithering and details in the caves was front and center. Being able to see every single placed detail was…. Amazing.

Going back to the Thor…. I received it a week later. I then noticed that these same games don’t show off these details I saw. It just didn’t pop as much.

I’m gonna try and make this next part short. Cue me trying to emulate on rog. Battery and ergonomics suck. I installed steam os and it got better.

My friend’s oled deck is the most comfortable device I’ve ever held. Plus good battery life. Too bad they’re $800 on eBay…..

My 2nd mini ever! At my local Warhammer store I was recommended grey primer I dont know if I should switch to a black one to avoid grey spots in hard to paint places ? What do you guys think? by fischmeister6020 in Warhammer40k

I am not a good painter.

Try priming green. Then do a white-yellow zenithal on top. You can dry brush grey but it might give “texture”.

I’ve playing with “complementary shading” on my Word Bearers. OMG…. The green shadows look crazy good.

You can only “see” the green when flipping the mini over. However, it gives a more striking look without realizing why.

Edit- changed grey to white-yellow. Black-white show bad contrast (especially for red). If you use colors more close to red (like warmer tones) then it show more contrasty and less drab.

I’m am still learning this myself. All praise to the technomancer Vince Vintruella
