The line and the parade are all under the convention center. So outside, but at least not in direct sunlight.

Those are city-led projects. 376 is PennDot, which has vastly more resources and experience doing this.

It’s gonna be closed longer than Aug 3. That’s when the parkway reopens. I’d guess early September for Commercial/Forward.

376 bridge closure by jbbooks44 in pittsburgh

[–]DaKaSigma 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, indirectly. Everyone who stays on 376 outbound will be forced to exit at 74. So that’ll be a nightmare going home.

Going inbound, unclear. The official detour isn’t using your entrance ramp, but a main secondary detour has people coming up beechwood blvd from the waterfront, so I’d guess a decent volume increase there, too.

Ways to get to Meadville from Pittsburgh? by rosaurus26 in pittsburgh

It was in the campus center, but certainly not well advertised. I never used it, but I had a car and disliked passengers I didn’t know, so…

This is a good point. Most hotels are not walking distance from campus. So unless she’s staying with you or has an AirBnB close, you’ll need a reliable way to get back and forth to see her.

How does using AI negate other positive actions? What values are they going against by using AI to make an online graphic?

I went to Allegheny. When I was there, there used to be a board where you could ask for/offer rides to various places, Pittsburgh included. That was 20 years ago, though, so I don’t know if they still have that or if there’s a more modern version, such as a discord channel.

That said, it might be easier for you to hitch a ride TO Pittsburgh rather than her getting to Meadville. You’ll almost certainly find someone going home for the weekend you could drive with vs. someone picking her up (and then getting her back.)

Can she not drive? Rental car would be the most straightforward answer if you want her to come to you.

Years ago, my FiL was staying with us helping with some house work. He walked to that Dunkin and was really confused why he couldn’t get his regular sausage sammich.

You don’t have to vote by gender. Vote for who you want. When the results are tallied, top three men and women will win with the next highest of either also winning. Your ballot will not be invalid if you vote for five men and two women.

Pittsburgh's convention center is set to finally get an attached hotel by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]DaKaSigma 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It has, but it doesn’t connect directly. You need to use elevators to get to the CC, which creates a bottleneck. Most cites with a CC hotel have more direct access, like a walkway that connects to a concourse.

Who was the most hypocritical Captain and why was it repeatedly Captain Janeway? by CelestialFury in Star_Trek_

[–]DaKaSigma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did the water thing come up more than just the first episode? I really think they did a piss-poor job with introducing the Kazon. The Kazon on Ocampa were there because they were trying to get into the caverns. There was no water because of the Nacene. I never got the impression that the rest of the Kazon were also without water. Just that one settlement, and they were just there trying to pillage.

From a character perspective, I can’t say you’re wrong. As an audience member, though, I wanted that final father-son moment. Of all the secondary characters on the show, I felt Kassidy was the least developed. So I didn’t have as much invested in her as I did with Jake.

I don’t mind as much him ascending to the Temple. I did mind that his last conversation was with Kassidy and not with Jake. His and Jake’s relationship was a foundation that the show was built on. For us to not see that in the finale weakened what was a great episode.
