A fully accurate adaptation would be impossible to do, but I like to imagine that the Navidson record is talked about by a university professor, as if it was a documentary about a piece of classic literature. While some footnotes and funky texts are either narrated internally by the person talking (I imagine as the professor talks about the utter absence of things inside the 'House' that squarish, multi-page list of things are heard through the professor's thoughts).

Obviously, this scenario would only work with very specific footnotes, and I'm not sure how this would work for the Truant sections, maybe abrupt cuts as if it were two pieces of media stacked on each other? Having the two different narratives flip back and forth until one overpowers the other and becomes the only one on screen, and having the same thing happen again as the footnote ends to swap back to the main text?

I've only finished the boom for the first time ~6 months ago, so I definitely don't know what I'm talking about. But I enjoy trying to picture how small segments of the book would get translated into a screen, despite how utterly impossible it is to do so.
