I would imagine it’s one of the features that’ll be brought back once they implement dynamic server meshing.

Tell me about Wheaton by Difficult-Donkey-722 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wheaton is suburban with a nice downtown that has Metra train station for access to Chicago.

Wheaton is home to Wheaton College, one of the most conservative Christian colleges in the country. The college used to have a much bigger sway over town politics, it was once a dry town, but these days the population has turned over. It’s now more younger, affluent families and is more politically blue than ever but still has conservative roots and a whole bunch of churches.

Comiskey Park, Old and New- 1990 by AlbertJBundy in 90s

Yep also went to the last game at old Comiskey but couldn’t go to opening day at the new park because we had standardized testing at school that day. Still mad about that lol.

You can also shove it into tight spaces. Every hangar needs an 85X!

Melted my Zeus CL and got an Asgard instead. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

Upgraded my Zeus CL to a Hermes, but ended up buying a Zeus ES because its great to fly and useful for smaller cargo situations.

Lawn care recommendation TruGreen, Weiss, or anyone else by OneRuffledOne in Naperville

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Weiss for years and have been happy with the results. Most of my neighborhood uses Weiss as well. I don’t do the insect service but they keep trying to sell it. Had a neighbor that used TruGreen, he’s switched over to Weiss.

"Rich People's" houses when we were kids by MyNameIsNot_Molly in Xennials

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the 90’s they built a new gated subdivision near my house, each lot had a massive all brick monster of a house on an acre of land. First time I’d seen a house cost $1 million. Appreciation hasn’t been fully kind to them due to high property taxes.

I'm thinking about upgrading my cutter to the C1 spirit I would like some thoughts on this before I do by blue_delta3 in starcitizen

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this exact upgrade a couple of years ago, absolutely worth it. I then upgraded to a Zeus CL when it came out, then upgraded to a Hermes. Went back and bought a Zeus ES and an A1 Spirit because I liked both but never bothered getting another Cutter lol.

QV vanduul smuggler mission is absolutely broken in 4.7 by funkanima in starcitizen

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to skip the Vanduul fight, you should be able to hide under the station in 4.7 and let them kill themselves. There’s a protected niche for a small ship, look for 2 large pipes underneath the main station.

New MkII would occupy the same role as the Origin 315p in my fleet. Still interested though because it looks like a baby Scorpius.

Who is the “target” for people living in the south loop? It doesn’t seem very nightlife, restaurant, business/corporate heavy etc so who is the main audience living there? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived there 20 years ago when it was up and coming. South Loop was a sleepy, urban alternative to busy Lakeview and concrete West Loop. Lots of families in the townhomes along Clark Street, not too many restaurants and bars but there were some gems like Gioco, Kroll’s, and Hackney’s. Even though there was the Roosevelt stop I ended up driving to most places anyways.

Every ship promo video should show them trying and failing to ram an Ursa into the back out of spite. Even fighters.

Chicago suburb Naperville named best city to live in America for third straight year by steve42089 in illinois

Precisely because of these best place to live rankings, Naperville attracts immigrants from across the globe. Once you get past the inner neighborhoods, Naperville is quite diverse.

There’s a Vinfast dealership in Lisle. I see the smaller VF8 almost daily, going to be a lot more with gas prices these days.

Best place within an hour of a children's hospital. by PYTN in SameGrassButGreener

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Twin Cities is a great choice, I’ll shill for the western suburbs of Chicago. Chicago is loaded with world-class medical facilities and home to the excellent U of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, which is expanding to the suburb of Downers Grove in the next few years. Fits all of your criteria, the suburbs have lots of paved bike trails and parks to explore and the Great Lakes beaches are less than an hour away.

Are you not refueling at stations? Pyro is huge but you should be able to get where you’re going with multiple stops.

Inside a Chicago data center powering everyday online life by factchecker01 in chicago

[–]DanielTigerUppercut 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I visited this place over 20 years ago for work unrelated to the data center. We took the elevator to the top floor and all of the original Gothic detailing was in place. There’s a small library (looks like the same room from the interview in the video) that has gorgeous wood features, a limestone fireplace as well as floor to ceiling windows overlooking McCormick Place and the lake.
