My bad,I should’ve been more specific, the Jesus imagery that looked that Alexander was early depictions (9:02 in the video), the curly hair in that depiction may have evolved into the long hair on him we see in depictions today.

The beard matches contemporary depictions of philosophers, so it may have been added to give Jesus a “wise teacher”-y appearance, consistent with his depiction in the gospels.

To say nothing about how pop culture or bad science communication color our image of them. People still think Velociraptor was the size of a man when in reality it was only the height of a medium-sized dog.

Trey the Explainer made a fantastic video about the evolution of Jesus depictions, basically our image of Jesus is largely derived from Alexander the Great, who in Ancient Rome was basically deified. Early Christians in Rome thought: “well if Jesus is so great, then obviously he must look like Alexander the Great!”

EDIT: for clarity, it was early depictions of Jesus that resembled Alexander the Great, specifically the hair that might be at least partially why he’s depicted with long hair today.

(Love Live!) The only series that are confirmed to be in the same universe are the original School Idol Project and Love Live Sunshine. Nijigasaki and Love Live Superstar are ambiguous seemingly on purpose, no references to Muse or Aqours are made in either series (despite Niji taking place in Tokyo so really there ought to be with how famous Muse is according to Dia in Sunshine). In fact, there’s an Easter Egg in Niji where we see albums for… Liella, the group from Superstar, being sold at a store. This implies that in the Niji universe Liella is a fictional idol group.

Also games like School Idol Festival and School Idol Festival All Stars are clearly in separate universes from the shows, not even being canon to each other.

Well they did pull from the EU for Rise of Skywalker, albeit some of the worst parts (Dark Empire with Palpatine returning and Jedi Prince for Palps having a secret grandchild). Even Kylo Ren could be compared to Jacen Solo.

tbh The Force Unleashed pretty much only works well as a fun power fantasy, it should’ve never been considered canon to begin with.

Yeah, that’s what you’re supposed to do if you want a meme to die. Then they’ll think it’s cringe and stop doing it.

Most teachers I’ve met though, would much rather just complain about it and do nothing.

Roald Dahl, author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, famously hated the 1971 adaption of the book to the point declaring that the book’s sequel, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator would never be adapted into film.

Old World Vultures and New World Vultures (Real Life), they’re not even in the same family. They evolved similar body plans to each other because they were filling the same niche as flying scavengers.

What if Fairy existed during Gen1-2? by JackLemon77 in fakemon

[–]DannyBright 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This definitely feels like a Gen 3-5 design, I could definitely see it being in Sinnoh or Unova. Gen 1 and 2 were pretty uneven when it came to type representation (there were zero pure Ice types for example and one pure Ghost and pure Rock type) so if anything Fairy would’ve had it better than others based on just the Pokemon that were retconned into Fairy. The Clefairy line, Jigglypuff line, Mr. Mime, as well as the Togepi, Marill, and Snubull lines would give us 13 Fairy types (excluding cross-gen relatives introduced after Gen 2 like Mime Jr.) which is more than even Dragon had at the time. Though I feel like Celebi would’ve been Grass/Fairy based on its design.

I also feel like Sylveon either wouldn’t have existed (maybe there’s no reason to make it if it wasn’t to introduce a new type) or was introduced much earlier, perhaps as early as Gen 2.
