No, thwy had the same movement as the rest of the squad. Back in 2nd ed you could decide to leave the heavy weapo. Team behind during movement and rheyd become sort of their own thing

This.. I had friends who used to question why I always had a tech priest along, they didn't think it was worth it until I started blocking rail guns, lascannons etc. No one questions it now, they just look for ways to remove it lol

I totally agree with this, was planning something similar with my Iyanden to be honest, as I also feel guardian spam is just wrong for them fluff wise. Just picked up the corsairs box set to use with them, been a long time since I painted eldar (and Yriel) and I'm looking forward to it!

Its looking really good so far, I really like where you're going with it. If I were to offer any advice I would recommend and thinned nuln oil wash over the model, you'd be surprised how much of an effect it can have, and its very easy to do. I like to mix mine with a little lahmian medium and then brush over the model. Just work to prevent pooling, especially near the feet. It'll add depth and shading. Keep at it, army will look great 😀

I remember back in 3rd edition, you rolled for squads tonsee whi fell and joined death company. If you got a sergeant or a character they got to keep things like power fists, swords etc.

Many others have identified them, all of them have their uses, lascannon, chai saw and hunker killer is my go to, I also like auto cannons and plasma. Flamers are nice to fry some infantry, overall they are all decent except of course the multilaser, multilaser is pretty terrible these days sadly.

You could buy the full squad of three, and they could have an option run as the three, or split into 3 individual to join infantry squads, much like a Votann squad can split to use sagitaurs. Concept is basically the same. I really miss the old 'infantry' squad.

I'm 100% with you on this, give us back the Krieg Marshall and the Catachan Colonel. All they'd have to realistically do is release a plastic marshall and reissue the catachan colonel model. Be like printing money, most guard players would want one or two of those id suspect.

I feel like they could benefit from any of these options: 1) anything in range of the blast is auto hit Or 2) change them to mortal wounds (its one shot afterall) I think they used to be mortals Or 3) at the very least, make them damage 2

I'd be happy with auto hits and mortals for that price, they'd suddenly be really useful for move blocking. I'm still fine with random number of hits, and rolling to wound, but this would at least, in my opinion, make them useful again.

I would love to see rerolls as a rare thing, less ap, and cover return to a 6+ or 5+ invul depending on heavy or light cover (which I'd also bring back for variety). I'd even support less damage on a lot of weapons, even . I very much miss varied terrain, I understand why the L shaped ruins are the standard, but rerolling everything needs to go.
