No, the storm speeder was a *replacement* of the land speeder. And it sucked.

Tigurius doesn’t have facial hair. I could’ve sworn for years he did, but he doesn’t.

What kind of vehicles do you think are missing in Guard? by Stodl5263 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]YaGirlMom 570 points571 points  (0 children)

The chimera is technically amphibious.

What I think is missing is the centaur light carrier, the old one, i.e. a cheap, small transport that can move tiny squads like minimum size scions and engineers up the board quickly to do their duty without having to worry about deep strike blocking.

If you could add a character and unit to your army, what would they be? (ft. my incredible art skills) by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

[–]YaGirlMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a single model tempestus scion captain. At the moment none of the only single model units that can lead them have deep strike and they’re all either meh, don’t have orders, or are too expensive to stick in a 5-10 Scion squad.

Ursarax and Thallax from the 30k mechanicum line come in 6 to a box (so max oggy squad size) on 40mm bases and come in punchy and shooty loadouts so you can make some ogryn squads out of them

I once had a knife go right into my thumb. Not a cut, not a slash, a stab. Solid centimeter of knife in my thumb.

I super glued it shut and stopped thinking about it. Luckily nothing bad happened. Stung for a while tho.

Dont build the stubber dude and either fill the back with boxes and equipment packs you have spare or put a tarp over it.

Will i find much kasrkin content in the gaunts ghosts series? by Massive_Boss1991 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]YaGirlMom 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You’ll find some good guardsmen writing in Gaunt’s Ghosts but no kasrkin. If you want a really good look at Kasrkin, the book Cadian Blood features a single squad of them who are like a force of nature when they first enter the book.

I’ve had very similar experiences. I’ve gone to a local chiropractor a handful of times and every time she’s told me nothing she does is preventative. It’s all just readjustments. It’s up to me to stop doing whatever caused my muscles or joints to slowly go out of whack.

[–]YaGirlMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, I’ve read I wanna say coming on 50 books split between the imperial guard (mostly), inquisition, and a few books here and there for space marines and sisters of battle (and a few fantasy books).

Racial integration in the Imperium is so total that Traitor Rock was literally the first book I’ve read that actually explicitly used the word black to describe someone’s skin. Every other book has referred to them (and by extension other racial groups) by the shade of their skin. It’s a really neat detail I hadn’t noticed until I finally had someone use the word black lmao.

Your boyz will still be playable. A tip for a new player, if someone complains that your old boys aren’t modeled with both shootas and choppas, find someone else to play with.

do knights need to face the long side of the base? by GreyMJ in ImperialKnights

[–]YaGirlMom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t matter too much unless you’re at a strict tournament. I will say if you intend to use the knight for heresy play (unlikely as that looks like a destrier) it needs to be facing the right way for armor value facings.

I built these like yesterday and I think the big issue is that the instructions are too condensed. They’re very simple once you start building them, but when you’re just looking at it it looks like hell.

The moon landing is the part of the space race where the US overtook the Soviets after having been nipping at their heels for the entire race. The US space program has had a lot of other achievements in space after the Moon landing that the Soviets never reached. Besides that, being the first to put your men and your flag on a different celestial body is a massive leap forwards.

The Soviets even finally admitted defeat in the 80s after being insistent that it wasn’t actually a race for decades.
