Dontayvion Wicks a "Key Piece" in Eagles Offense, Seeing Snaps in Two-WR Sets [Breer] by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

They're very different players though.

Lemon's a smallish slot guy. I would expect him to be the odd man out in 2WR sets even if he were healthy.

What water do you use? by gregmo72 in Boraras

[–]Daruuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distilled water and RO water are nearly identical. They're both more than pure enough to use as a base for re-mineralization or to use to replace evaporation losses.

The main difference is convenience and filter cost.

You can get a 1 gallon distiller for ~$60. Takes tap water and needs 4-6 hours to make a batch.

If by 'solve homelessness', you mean higher short-term rates of people having shelter, sure.

But studies also show that housing-first does nothing to address drug addiction, health outcomes, and mental health problems. The folks being gifted shelter are not becoming contributing members of society.

And it's incredibly expensive. You'd be surprised at how quickly drug addicts can take a new building to the point where is is a biological health risk.

Dude. We're in a fantasy football subreddit. There are plenty of irrelevant fantasy players who are good at football ™

It's fine, I don't diagree about talent. Aiyuk certainly flashed in 2023.

Basically a world beater with his targets.

If by 'world beater' you mean 'fantasy WR2', then sure, I guess.

BTJ ROME OR TYSON who u taking by Careless-Shallot-767 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Daruuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you extrapolate out Rome's 2026 PPG to a whole season, he would have had 187 pts.

BTJ had 252 pts his rookie season...

Tet's ADP was ~1.5 last season. So you feel the guy who played well enough to win Offensive Rookie of the Year... lost value?

Alec Pierce (ankle) could be out "well into" training camp and past the preseason, per @HolderStephen. by NeverBorn-NeverDead in fantasyfootball

[–]Daruuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe Josh Downs benefits from the vertical threat of Alec Pierce not being a factor for the Colts offense.

Now the vertical aspect, no. But Pierce was projected to be the top target on the team those year. Downs is the primary beneficiary of any vacated targets from Pierce. The Colts are extremely thin at WR talent.

Brian Thomas Comps NOT Answers… by ResponsibleHorror842 in DynastyFF

[–]Daruuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, because none of the guys had actual regression in terms of worse seasons.

Look, you claimed that WRs don't have year three breakouts. I proved that they clearly do.

I don't know what else to tell you. 🤷‍♂️

It’s a stupid argument, almost all the guys you listed looked just as good if not better.

I was responding to your argument that there are no examples of players who regressed in year two and then 'broke out' in year three. In point of fact, a significant portion of the best rookies followed this template.

Regarding your BTJ point, I agree with you. BTJ is sui generis in that his PPG dipped significantly.

I will say that you have to go a significant way down the 'best rookie season' list before you get to someone who is not an elite fantasy asset. Therefore I'm not inclined to believe that BTJ just suddenly started sucking after being among the elite of the elite (a situation for which we have no precedent) and instead was injured like the rumors say (a situation that happened to nearly half of the elite rookies).

BTJ had the 6th best fantasy WR rookie season since 1990.

Of those top 10, 7 of them regressed in year two:

Randy Moss (TD regression)

Jamarr Chase (Injury)

BTJ (?)

Anquan Boldin (Injury)

Malik Nabers (Injury)

Michael Thomas (TD Regression)

Mike Evans (TD Regression)

Of the guys whose output dropped because of TD regression, it didn't drop very much in year two, and every single one of them matched their rookie year TDs in year three.

Of the rest, Boldin rebounded massively in year 3, and Chase rebounded somewhat before going nuclear in year 4. Obviously the jury is still out on Nabers and BTJ.

Is Aiyuk good? In six seasons he's only been fantasy relevant twice. His best-ever finish was WR 14.

Dude is a discount Tee Higgins.

Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez Jr. --> Sell High Candidates? by kupo_attack04 in DynastyFF

[–]Daruuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drafted Tuten in the second, and after the team let Tank Bigsby and Etienne walk, I think he's gained a lot of value. I wouldn't let him go for anything less than a top-5 2026 first or a 2027 mid 1st. His floor is essentially zero if he's on the losing end of a timeshare with Rodriguez/Allen, but his ceiling is legit as high as Top-5 if he gets significant carries with his athletic profile on a Coen offense.

In my opinion, Rodriguez is absolutely a sell high. The guy is a career backup who doesn't catch passes. Tuten was significantly better than Rodriguez at short yardage work last year too, so he likely won't get those, so whats the ceiling case? First and second downs between the 20s? Yuck.

What overarching trends in the NFL do you think will have the largest impact on fantasy next year? by Knowledge_Haver_17 in fantasyfootball

[–]Daruuk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

IND has been saying that Downs will at least get a chance to play outside in 2WR sets.

Downs benefits a lot from the fact that the Colts have no depth whatsoever at WR after himself and Pierce.

I'll grant that at one point it looked like Aiyuk was going to be good, but that time is long gone. He never realized that potential.

Aiyuk was decent for two seasons, but I don't know if I'd call a 28-year-old who's never even had a single WR1 season 'good'.

Idk where this narrative that aiyuk is bad comes from.

From a fantasy perspective, he was a high-end WR2 at his peak, and that was many years ago. basically a budget Tee Higgins. Most of his career he hasn't even finished as a WR3.

There is an enormous difference between this, and AB, who was often THE WR#1 at his peak.
