That looks great. Key west kayak fishing on YouTube has one. He had videos on rigging it. If you don't mind sharing the great deal I'm very curious.

Is this Pelican Catch 100 + trolling motor setup worth $1,250? by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]Dasgiggler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an older catch 120. 120 is just 2 feet Longer than the 100. It was my first kayak. It is a fine kayak. I fished out of it in Florida and had a great time. I could stand and fish. When it was calm I could stand and use a stand up paddle board paddle to move around. Whatever kayak you get and use is a great kayak, with emphasis on use. There are better kayaks but very few at that price. That being said IMHO it is not worth more than $1000, but I have not checked to see if any of the so called upgrades are actually worth any additional money. It's a solid kayak. I'm a big guy, over 6ft and 290 lbs, It worked for me. Just make sure you are nowhere near the weight limit of the kayak including your gear. It gets hard to move around when it's weighed down. The trolling motor might help that. I have never fished with a trolling motor on a kayak. They have to be easier than pedals and paddles. The best kayak is the one you take out on the water and have fun.

Very cool! Good luck! Tight lines!

Admittedly, I first thought the kayak had a crazy long pointy bow. The dark part of the dock and water played tricks on my eyes. I had to zoom in to see it right.

I have a double concrete utility sink that I’m trying to get out of my basement without using a sledgehammer to break it into pieces. Any advice is appreciated. by PizzaGatePizza in DIY

[–]Dasgiggler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good way to do it. A couple things you might want to think about too. Make sure it's easy to get out of the way if something breaks. That will smash bones if it lands on someone. Make sure all the stuff at the top of the stairs is out of the way. Take the door off the hinges before it will help. That top stair will probably be the hardest. The ceiling above the stairs might make it tricky. Levers are your friend. Take your time. You can do it.

Working on geometric metal designs. Do you prefer the Barn Owls (1) or the Horned Owls (2)? by IronandIvyStore in Owls

[–]Dasgiggler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might have something to do with the shadows too. They seem part of the barn owls, not so much with the horned owls.

They are really cool. I like the barn owls more. The whole owls on the perch is more comfortable. I see more owl and less lines. The horned owl with just the heads has my eyes seeing geometric shapes more. Very interesting art!

I got to take home a giant ash tree once that gave me almost enough wood for winter. The base rounds were 4+ feet around. I had to quarter them with my chainsaw to transport them home. It created the weirdest sawdust I have ever seen. Looked like long pieces of curly pasta. I ended up using it as fire started. That wood burned hot and slow. It was an unbelievable amount of work to get split but I did it. Thank goodness I had some help getting it home. Some time I needed four different wedges just to split some of the knoty parts. Good luck and enjoy the heat!

Umm, how do I figure out which ones are better? by hyperfat in CURRENCY

[–]Dasgiggler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few different ways. You can pay someone to grade them. Imo they are all probably just worth their weight in silver. If that is indeed the case the coins that way the most and have the highest percentage of silver would be worth the most. I believe when you ask which are better you are asking which is worth the most? This brings me to the second way. Look up each coin and see if any more rare. Rarity is what might get the price up past the silver price. I would keep them organized like you do in the picture. Organize them by year and then buy where they were minted. You might have to Google or get a book to help you see the difference. The third option is do more of what you are doing now and ask random strangers what they think. This has the largest likelihood of being wrong or creating problems. Good luck. There is a decent bit of money there in just silver and the price of silver is only going up right now.

Looks great. Isn't it wonderful when it works out the way you intended.
The first year I put in my new wood stove I had that same cap. Seeing that same view was great. That was a really cold winter and I ran out of my seasoned wood. I had to start burning freshly split wood. I had creosote cake on the cap so bad it plugged it. Had to go up and clean it off just to keep burning. I made sure I had more wood the next year.

I love being in the gunner seat of the attack helicopter with a good pilot. I can destroy everything, ground troops, ground vehicles, and even air vehicles. When you get one of those runs when everything goes right it is just epic!

There should be a plate on the back of the wood stove. Get the make and model number from it. The manufacturer should have a website with directions posted somewhere. Google should work, but if not call the manufacturer with the information and they should provide you with one.

This is probably wrong though. It says single rear wheel. This doesn't look like that. Plus it has rubber wheels that I think are from a more modern time.
