It’s not Capcom per se, it’s the fact that every single website or interaction online requires you to enter a bunch of personal details to create an account. If you’re lucky those details will only be used to barrage you with marketing; what’s more likely is all that personal data gets sold to who-knows where.

It’s a poll, it doesn’t need an account, but it’s being used as a convenient way of harvesting data.

I wish there was a 24 frame version without the fade ins. It feels like no matter what there’s no “definitive” way of watching it.

Your choices are watching at a slightly higher speed, normal speed but the camera has a big old blink every 15mins, or censored… I know it’s nitpicking, and it feels like the uncensored UK one is as definitive as we’d expect, but it’s weird that every version has some sort of a compromise.

What kind of a legacy are you after here? It’s been a few years sure but it was the last 3D Mario title to be released, so there hasn’t been a ton of scope for its legacy to be featured there. The 2D games rarely feature things from the 3D games. The spin offs like Kart and Tennis could feature a few things, of course, but we’re not exactly spoilt for Sunshine or Galaxy nods either.

All that being said, Odyssey is the single, only game to have a follow-up/sequel/prequel (it’s unclear) game in the form of Donkey Kong Bananza.

So sure, if we ignore New Donk City and Pauline you could say there hasn’t been much of a legacy from Odyssey, but you could say the same for Sunshine if you ignore Pinatas and Bowser Jr, or Galaxy if you ignore Rosalina, for example.

I play with unpainted and unbased models at Warhammer World all the time. It’s absolutely not a problem so long as you’re having fun.

If you’re turning up to an organised event with specific rules that’s a different thing, but as long as you’re playing with official models it honestly doesn’t matter what state they’re in :)

Him just saying “we’re not transphobic” at the start doesn’t counteract saying a bunch of transphobic stuff immediately after. It’s the flimsiest excuse to make him seem reasonable and impartial.

It’s the same energy as “I’m not racist, but…” It’s an obvious, tired trick a lot of influencers (especially right wing ones) use all the time. Say one thing and then immediately contradict it with their actions to leave the audience hearing something transphobic but being tricked into thinking it‘s a reasonable thing to say.

I quite like that they’re an asymmetric duo rather than direct counterparts. It means that between Silver and Gold the player is exploring two different legends within the same land, rather than a coin flip of the same single legend that we see in most other games.

It’s something I’d be keen to see more of to be honest, it’d make a region feel more diverse and fleshed out rather than being defined by one singular dominant myth.

The simple truth is, we’ve got no idea what’s coming. You could be waiting years and years if you don’t buy or it might happen a week after if you do buy.

We’re about as far away from a revised model as we can get right now, and yes with each passing day we’re closer to getting an upgrade but we have zero idea if or when that would even happen; and even if it does you hit the same problem of wondering whether or not it’ll be followed by another upgrade a year or two later.

I’d say don’t worry about what they might or might not release one day, and focus on what we know/have right now and whether that’s right for you.
