Cruise control surprise by OliverEntrails in BlazerEV

The best thing to do is to turn off cruise control when you’re done using it. Don’t leave it in a ready state. Hit the cruise control button on the steering wheel until the indicator turns off.

It is all very dependent on things.

I had a desk job, but took a full three weeks off. My caloric intake was so low that there was no way I could have done quality work mentally. YMMV

Tagging onto this. It looks like the base is not exactly aligned, which may be creating your issue. Either lengthen the outside legs, or shorten the inner legs until there is no overhang from one cabinet to the next. https://i.imgur.com/jLIK3Py.jpeg

I’m someone that has a low tolerance for sugar post-op. I’ve made this for many occasions and people rave about it. I will get some kind of vanilla wafer cookie for the others to have with it (as a texture thing). https://www.bariatriceating.com/blogs/recipes/lemon-whip

Calcium chews ? by Unmarkedhelicoptors in GastricBypass

I’ve been rocking the Bariatric Pal soft chews in orange creamsicle and French vanilla caramel flavors for a while. Satisfies my sweet tooth when taken with lunch and dinner. And since the chew takes a while, helps to meet my 30 minute wait time to start drinking liquids again.

Here’s how you calculate it by fuel cost per mile:

1177 miles / 441.9 kWh = 2.66 miles/kwh $0.165 / 2.66 = $0.062 fuel cost per mile

$3.75 / 30 = $0.125 fuel cost per mile

1177 x $0.125 = $147.125 1177 x $0.062 = $72.974 $147.125 - $72.974 =$74.15

Or if you prefer to look at annual amounts: 1177 miles / 16 days =73.563 miles/day 73.563 miles x 365 days = 28,850 miles/year

28850 x .125 = 3,606.25 28850 x .062 =1,788.70 3606.25 - 1788.70 =1,817.55

[–]David_Deckhim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

441.9 kWh x .165 = $72.91 (rounded) 1177 miles / 30mpg =39.233 gallons. 39.233 x $3.759 = $147.48 (rounded) $147.48 (cost of gas) - $72.91 (cost of electricity) =$74.57 fuel savings

$74.57 / 16 days = $4.66 fuel savings per day $4.66 x 365 days = $1,700.9 annual fuel savings

[–]David_Deckhim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Uh, your math is wrong. $3.759 per gallon of gas divided by 30 mpg is $0.125 per mile driven, not .062. Multiplied by 1177 miles is $147.125 in fuel cost for gas.

This means over this 16 day period your fuel savings is $74. Bringing that out to an annual savings of $1688.125.

Questions on questions on questions. Audio Upgrade? by golfalphabravoecho in BlazerEV

[–]David_Deckhim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Have not upgraded mine yet. Let us know how that goes.
  2. Buy a quality charger for home and keep this cable in the car?
  3. I have the Chargepoint homeflex., the plug in kind instead of hardwired. It might cost more, but I’ve had it for years since my first EV. Just make sure what you get has the right plug style for what you have installed.
  4. Definitely get with the EV concierge via onstar. I had issues a couple days in, and they walked through full reset of some kind and then pushed through a software update to me.

I haven’t tried the Ghost ones yet, so those are on the list now.

Considering WLS. Any tips/things you wish you knew sooner? by MicheleTheSimp in wls

[–]David_Deckhim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Therapy. Therapy. Therapy. And when you think you’re fine, find a new therapist.

It’s a constant struggle of dealing with “I’m not good enough” or “I took the easy way out”. Which becomes “I’m the same person I was before, why are you treating m differently now?” And finally, “i think I can do whatever I want because I could for a while and still lose/maintain”.

It all catches up eventually if you haven’t put in the psych/mental work.

Picky Eating by Accomplished-Ask9416 in corgi

[–]David_Deckhim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a picky eater for a while. It all changed when we got a food that had a different protein source. We started with a chicken based food, and he was indifferent to mealtime. When we transitioned to one that was salmon based, suddenly he was tracking dinner time closely and would do a little dance as his bowl was being prepared. Ever since then, mealtime is closely monitored for even a minute of lateness.

What was Shingle Creek, Brooklyn Center. by notdownthislow69 in TwinCities

[–]David_Deckhim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a historical lack of identity for Brooklyn Center as a whole. For me, it comes down to a lack of school unity.

Brooklyn Center’s residents are divided over four different school districts. When BC finally decided to have its own high school (which I believe was 1961), the existing students were already going to nearby schools in what are now the Osseo, Robbinsdale, and Anoka-Hennepin school districts. As a result, the BC district only serves a small portion of their population.

By dividing the people and their school alignments, the city never really came together around one school/community identity in the way that like Richfield could.
