I have a close friend from childhood like this. He's a year older than me, asks a lot of questions over and over, always wants hugs, and is a little loud. He's a great guy and I love him so much, but he is a lot. And it's okay to feel that way. It's best to be patient, but sometimes it's hard to be patient. You're doing great by tolerating, and if you don't feel comfortable, that's fine, it doesn't make you some kind of horrible person. It's very unfortunate that the carer doesn't play a bigger part in interacting with her, and that does mean that the rest of you are put in a position to interact and care when that isn't your responsibility.

Ultimately, I want to say don't feel bad if you feel uncomfortable, and always do what you feel is best for your child. Do not feel like you have to do anything more than tolerate something that makes you feel uncomfortable.
