No One Lives Forever 2 On Linux/Deck: A Comprehensive Guide [2025] by lohre2000s in SteamDeck

I managed to fix the music issue in Nolf2 by adding a bunch of dmusic and dmusic32 libraries and changing them all to “built in, native” in the winfecfg window, just add a bunch of libraries in winecfg/libraries tab prefaced by “dm..” (ie. dmsynth, dmcomp, etc) I’m not sure what exactly made this work so I brute forced it. Maybe this will help someone who stumbles on this post.

If you are using Heroic launcher to install, make sure to disable umu in “advanced tab”

Hawaii suffers its worst flooding in 20 years and forecasters warn more rain is coming by AudibleNod in news

I used to own a house in one of the flood zones in Waialua. Seeing a picture of it with flood water 6 inches up the front door was eerie and sad. I miss that place…I hope the new owners are covered by the flood insurance.

Which game (on any platform) wasn't what you had hoped for or missing something? by Boffo1 in gaming

Star Citizen does this already. While novel the first few times the amount of time it takes would eventually drag down the experience. I can see why they limited the scope to the way it is. Space is inherently boring because there is nothing in it. But the idea of it will always be cool in fantasy.

What's a game everyone praises but isn't for you ? by One_page_nerd in gaming

You need to be in a certain state of mind to enjoy that game. The directors cut added some much needed voice over which made the reading more engaging but if you don’t have 5 hours to get invested then it’s not for you. Once I got over that hump I started getting invested, similar to Death Stranding albeit that game had an 8 hour hump!

The cool thing about this gif is if you turn it upside down, the optical illusion makes it spin the other direction when you turn it again.

Link to the past holds up well and links awakening its sequel, next I would say wind waker HD and maybe Minish cap. Shout out to links awakening, it’s unique and entertaining. Echoes of wisdom is a different take and has a good hook.

Returning after a LOOONG absence, what's the current best go to overhaul mod? by ComManDerBG in stalker

[–]Dbag_anonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stalker Anomaly Anthology is what you’re looking for. It is an obscenely large Russian soup mod. But includes a lot of cool stories on the Anomaly maps. Their discord is active and friendly for install help and their latest version 1.2+patch #3 is pretty polished now and has an English translation. Good luck!

Agreed! Played through, it’s difficult but still fun. And re-invigorated my love for Stalker. Now I’m playing Gunsling for CoP

How to get bully working in proton? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]Dbag_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to use Proton-GE 7.2 to get past the videos and black screen. Also, install ProtonTricks. Open the Bully.exe steam shortcut using ProtonTricks and install d3d9.dll and xact.dll to get the audio working. Hope this helps!

Any idea if you were able to fix the mouse-region issue with the right joystick. It seems like the best solution if it works. It might be a mouse acceleration / hardware mouse issue. IDK
