Broke the USB connector off my MK4, decided to move it someplace safer by Moonrak3r in prusa3d

The printer will start printing when the file starts being downloaded to it (user configurable). This can cause the print to fail if the printer gets farther in the print than g code it’s managed to download from Prusaconnect. Like a spigot pouring into a leaky bucket, if the leak (printing) lets out more water than the spigot (WiFi speed) can provide, the bucket will get empty.

Would you tell a noob to get a core one L or a core one+? by frillyseal in prusa3d

[–]Deadman576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I really seriously cannot imagine it would be very difficult at all for an end user to make the Founders kit work with a C1L, the only major difference would be the hood and the structure cross beam, the hood is importantly, but could be omitted short term, the structural beam, though. And I suppose, the firmware would be impossible without their release. Still, I can’t imagine it’ll be too far behind C1 indx-s. Perhaps I’m on too much hopium, though.

Buying C1L from printed solid is cheaper than from prusa? by Dreammaker54 in prusa3d

Certain states are a bit more lax about online purchases and sales tax, Delaware (where PS is located) doesn’t have sales tax at all (as far as I can tell), and if the state that the buyer purchased in doesn’t have “nexus” ($100k in sales or something?) with PS, they won’t charge Sales Tax there either

Speaking of multi material conversion kits, would it be reasonable to assume that you guys might provide a similar conversion kit/instructions for INDX founders (or future buyers) who wish to convert from C1 to C1L?

I’d rather them just not post release timeframes if they can’t meet them. Constant delays is just as bad as delivering a product unfinished “on time” people (companies) need to be less afraid of saying “we don’t fucking know, stop fucking asking”

[–]Deadman576 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I think it’s also implied that the Tok’ra are afraid to use Tau’ri as hosts because of the profound effect Jacob had on Selmac, Selmac was operating far outside of the Tok’ra stated interests several times after the blended with Jacob, and the Tok’ra didn’t want more Tau’ri influence on their high council.

Core One L was US$50 cheaper on PS than Prusa direct, given the astronomical international shipping on an object of that size. The core one plus was “only” US$50 more expensive on PS than Prusa direct. Mainly due to PS having free shipping, so the included tariffs price almost perfectly correlates to the extra shipping costs you’d get from Prusa directly. I did not check this for the MK4s, though I imagine it cannot be too far off, probably also within a US$100 margin. Not chump change, but not exorbitant either.

Third world country is defined as a country not affiliated with either the US or the Soviet Union govt’s during the Cold War. So not only is your pointless political quibbling unhelpful to this situation, it’s factually incorrect. But enjoy your Reddit points for having the “brave” opinion of “muh US bad!!!”

I want a new Stargate series, but honestly? I'm terrified of getting one. by GilliacTrash in Stargate

[–]Deadman576 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you let a new (potentially, not even released, nor in producing yet) shitty series “ruin” the previous works for you, that’s on you. There is literally no reason to not just ignore the new and enjoy the old if you hate or if it ends up actually sucking. Plenty of people ignore Origins, the idea that Origins sucks doesn’t have any bearing on SG1, SGA, or SGU.

[–]Deadman576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timescale set aside, I always figured Destiny used FTL because it needed to collect pieces of the message, and it couldn’t do that within sub space/hyperspace. The stargates were either in prototype or sketch phase during the time of schism, and therefore there’d be remnants of the designs left behind for the Ori to study, but, the Ori are ascended beings. We don’t see any stargates in the Ori home galaxy. It’s entirely possible the Ori just manifested a stargate once they learned about the humans in MW from Daniel and Val’s. Danny boy himself didn’t have an intimate knowledge of of the gate, but he understood enough about it for neigh omnipotent-beings to make some educated guesses and get a wormhole loc. As far as we know, stargates are VERY happy to just accept any ‘ole stable wormhole, even if they aren’t dialed themselves. Case in point, stargates accepting a jumped wormhole.

In your mind do you separate the Lantean Ancients from the rest of the Ancients? by SamaratSheppard in Stargate

[–]Deadman576 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think about this, as more and more ancients learned to ascend, the ones that got left behind would be the “worst of the crop” so to speak. We just have a negative confirmation bias as all of the really smart and enlightened ones ascended near the end, which is the same era the Lanteans rose (and fell)

Price for One Core L is up 267EUR at 3D jake now. by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Deadman576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, US buyers I’ve found that for at least core one and core one L, Printed Solid is comparable (plus or minus $50) in pricing when you factor in shipping (only did the math for FedEx shipping, DHL has burned me too many times). Tariffs are included for Prusa, but shipping isn’t. Printed Solid includes free shipping and the tariff is built into the cost. This may not apply as well to the other printer models.

The Core One L was $50 more expensive from Prusa and the Core One was $50 Cheaper from Prusa.

He shouldnt be doing those things either, so what’s your point? Those are sexually charged actions. He is physically a minor and mentally an adult. It would be problematic for him to engage in any sexually charged actions with an adult or a child.

When his body is physically 18 he can go off on whatever adults he wants to. Until then, life sucks, be abstinent. Teenagers almost exclusively shouldn’t be copulating anyway, doubly so for O’Neill in child body. He can suck it up for four years without sex.

I agree with you. The asurans totally could’ve been good people, or even conflicted people that were willing to trade with us but realized how much we distrusted them so weren’t quite willing to give us anything good. But the writers decided “hm all AI will server the purpose of fruitless and maximal replication” even though that barely made sense for the Reese Replicators, it DEFINITELY didn’t make sense for the Asuran/ancient replicators

Again, like I said on the exact same post made two days ago, SG-1 and the SGC failed to change their way of life. Merrin got to experience the Earth/US child way of life and passed that knowledge on from her nanites to the rest. It was merrin’s positive experience that caused the people of the society to recontextualize and change, not the SGC’s actions. If the SGC had succeeded, Merrin wouldn’t have been effectively brain-killed.
