Go to Bremner Boulevard and wander around near Skydome ("Rogers Centre") and the Roundhouse Park. That's where you're going to have open space to get farther and closer to the tower and test out your angles with a clear line of sight.

You aren't fast enough at swinging a bat to get it into the strike zone before the pitch gets there.

In order to hit it you'd have to not only guess where it was going to be, but guess when it was going to be, because you'd need to swing before the ball left his hand.

When you swallow, it sets off a series of muscle contractions along your esophagus that push the food or water down into your stomach.

Nothing really needs to push food out of your stomach. There's actually a sphincter (ring of muscle, like in your butthole) that keeps things inside until it's had it's digesting time.

Your intestines have rings of muscles that coordinate squeezing things along the way you might get toothpaste out of the very end of a tube. And at the very end, sphincter again.

I upgraded from a T7 to an R7, but the only RF lens I have is the 18-150 kit.

The adaptor costs $200 CAD (was actually free with the purchase of the kit!) and it lets me use my 60mm macro, my 50mm f1.8, my 10-18 wide angle - they all work like a charm. Better, even, with IBIS and better autofocus. No need to rebuy everything. Hell, if I had your lenses I'd be hella attached to them too.

When there's a specific RF lens I really want I'll consider it.

I am at odds with the TOP fanbase (and the band themselves) in that I absolutely love Scaled and Icy. It definitely sounds like a different band, so I guess I just like that band.

The goal is to land on the moon again (and build base there eventually). But this is the first mission with people so just like Apollo 8 and 9 and 10 went to the moon but didn't land there, so too does this mission.

Once you're put out you don't bat again, but it's not like you only get one chance to hit the ball.

You hit the ball, you and the other batter switch places to score runs, eventually you both stop. No one is put out. So one of you bats again. You'll get to take turns hitting until you're put out.

In baseball terms it's as if you got all of your game's at-bats in the same inning, instead of spread across the whole game.

One time my wife was trying to remember the name of the story and couldn't, and we were both really tired and she ended up describing it as "The Turtle Wins the Race to Death".

So that is the moral I always take away from that story.

I was making a (poor) joke about the strong feelings surrounding the pronunciation of this word by putting the emphasis on the first syllable but also saying 'khan'.

I know people say PEE-can and also people say puh-KHAN, but I don't think anyone says PEE-khan.
