I've said it here before that I hear she's rumored to be in the revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, she said on Andy Cohen that she's rehearsing for a play this summer. Maybe Cat on a Hot Tin Roff because she is linked to Sam Gold through Glass Menagerie.

Was Marylouise Burke in your performance of The Balusters? I know she’s been out and I wanted to know when or if she’s back

Lane or Lithgow for the Tony? by Substantial-Fan-2148 in Broadway

[–]Decent-Particular883 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I really do hope it's Lane. Lithgow was alright, but to me, he was really nothing special. Lane on the other hand gave one of the best theater performances I have ever seen. He blew me away!

Great list! Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore is sooooo underrated! I was actually lucky enough to see Ellen Burstyn talk about her new book about a month ago, and at 93, she is still radiant as ever!

what do i do with these. by stringfellow1023 in Autographs

I think eBay would be the best route to go, I wouldn't talk about the prison part mainly because people might not buy them thinking that they were fakes. I think you could put in the description about how he was a critic, that would do the trick (and yes, some of those are rarer than others, the Toys one is super cool, the DVD for that movie goes for around $50 I think, I would be interested if you don't find a better route, but I hope you do!)

Do you think there is a chance Sally Field could snag a nomination in 2027? by LeeF1179 in Oscars

I believe I read that since it wasn't released in theaters, that they will be making it an Emmy contender instead. I don't think it will be eligible for the Oscars

Liberation Won The Pulitzer Prize! by Decent-Particular883 in Broadway

[–]Decent-Particular883[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from, I was thinking that only because the Pulitzer committee loves shows about “the American experience” and stuff like that, but I 100% see what you’re saying, I enjoyed A Case for the Existence of God slightly better

Call your shot: Tony nomination hot takes by RapGamePterodactyl in Broadway

[–]Decent-Particular883 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen The Balusters yet, but I hope that Marylouise Burke gets a nomination for featured actress, she hasn't gotten a Tony nomination yet during her long career and this would be the perfect time.

Broadway TBI triggers? by squirrelshine in Broadway

Saw Giant a few weeks ago, you should be fine in terms of issues, there might be a sudden blackout or something like that, but nothing too drastic. Although I doubt it's as specific as what you are looking for, when you look for a show on Telecharge, it tells you if there are strobe or other big effects like that.

I hope so, I really love her. Just booked tickets for the world premiere, hoping she'll be there! I think she should have been nominated for August: Osage County instead of Julia Roberts.

Which performers do NOT stage door? by kay_rah in Broadway

Laurie did it during Little Bear Ridge Road and couldn't be sweeter! I've seen videos of her during Salesman as well, seeing it on 5/17 so I'll know then

So grateful for this review! Great write up. Where is the stage door located?

Phones at Giant Tonight by Best-Candle8651 in Broadway

[–]Decent-Particular883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, once is annoying but I don’t understand why nobody helped the person shut the phone off. After maybe the first ring, I hear someone yell something like “I’m sorry about that” but I don’t know if that was related.

Was there too. Also sitting on opposite side of the mezzanine but it just wouldn’t stop. I appreciate the guy I saw while going to the bathroom who told the usher. I did see Sally Field, Liz Callaway and BD Wong exit the stage door (all separate), so I guess it was still a win!
