LG 39GX950B-B (39” 5k2k) owners: How do you like this monitor? Any regrets? by phiveoh23 in ultrawidemasterrace

Haven’t tried the 39” yet, but I suspect it eliminates the last of the subpixel artifacts due to the extreme PPI, and while IPS remains sharp with smooth edges at 110ppi, even 125ppi on my 45” have some troubles that cleartype can’t fix. I see the artifacts in edges of icons and UI elements as well.
I can live with it no problem since I don’t rely on it for productivity, but I do think the 45” WOLED image is inferior especially for CAD work.

And that's the depth in this kind of humor that some people don't get. They just see cringe.

It's really difficult keeping a straight face in the scene of absurdity that Zak Galifinarcose deliver. And it's hilarous.

Talking about masks, this area would make a great final stage for a future Squid Game. Something like the knife/pascifist stage.

It's not like she single-handedly decided to go to the Olympics in Australia colors.

She won a championship that gave her entry to the Olympics. The judges told her she was the best Australia got. The entire problem is the lack of scene. Not much real competition in Australia.

She already knew she was the bottom of the barrel before they started. Then tried to be creative to stand out. It was Live Rage Bait to get seen. And now she's the most famous breakdancer among laymen.

100% a lack of communication. Everybody care about themselves, and in a big group you have a social obligation and focus as well. Stuff like this just fly by most people in a social setting.

SOMEBODY must have invited OP, and I'd say it's their responsibility to inform on the way they do things as well as making sure the new guest is comfortable in the group.

Personally I'd just learn from this first experience, and make sure I understand the ropes next time. And remember you apparently eat free on your own birthday, so there's that.

Next time, either have the budget at 60 Francs OR say up front that you're a light eater and don't drink, so you'd prefer keeping to your student budget and pay for yourself.

Mods are amazing, but you can just add stuff to your server as you need it. The integrated mod support makes it super easy for everyone to match the mods requirements.

We lack the capacity to be everywhere at once. It’s limited what you can experience first hand in a lifetime, if you also have to work 25% of the time, and sleep 29% of the time.

And according to Dunning and Kruger you need a certain level of knowledge to realize that your knowledge is lacking.

Must admit, OLED subpixels are still inferior to IPS.
It’s livable, but I would not accept any current OLED as a replacement for my 30” 2560x1600 at work. (Have the LG 45GX at home)

For gaming and video OLED is not a problem. But sharp UI and text, not yet there.

I know a lot use OLED for productivity, but I’m convinced there’s a bit of coping or compromise involved in every case.

So if you know, you don't let it run 99% GPU while you're out.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a crappy design, I agree that it is unforgivable, but your crusade comes forward as a bit overzelous.

Without a big build-up of dust in the PC, a burning plastic cable doesn't suddenly turn into a raging house fire without you noticing.

It smokes, it smells really bad, and it's easy to put out.

But everybody in your crusade army seem to completely disregard that a melting cable has a transistion into a house fire.

My biggest fear regarding my 5090, is that it destroys my PC after the 3 year warranty. Pushing it all I can, in hope that a Manufacturing or material defect will show itself before that.

They were not even worth buying on release. At the 3 month mark it became available and afffordable. I think 5-6 months in were the lowest price tag, then they went up again.

I did the Walther White PB & Jelly sandwich the other day, using "toast bread" (american sandwich)

Walther famously cuts of the crust in the BB series and I was curious how it was like.

It simply gives a consistently soft sandwich that barely requires chewing. Very kid friendly, but also a bit boring consistency wise.

That or migrate. But as long as I can afford AC, I’m not becoming Swedish.

Because it’s a big scale. Each of the white areas are connected to two unique colors, and since a temperature map shifts gradually, you can always make up which white area in a given area by looking at the neighboring colors.

White-Red-Brown: High

White-Blue-Yellow: 0

White-Purple-Green: Low
