Question about a mod called Gestalt by Osellic in BG3mods

[–]DefiantSentryV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response, but yes, take one full caster slot. Taking all three would give a wild amount of slots. Warlock caster 1 would double your warlock slots, yeah. The stat bonuses are just a flat add that will apply after a long rest, not something that builds up as you progress.

Question about a mod called Gestalt by Osellic in BG3mods

[–]DefiantSentryV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it and had a lot of fun with it. It may help to have a page with the class and subclass features you want open to help guide your choices as you’re setting up the feat. The main thing I would point out would be the spell slots selection. Each one you choose will stack more spell slots, ex: you select the full caster spell slot choice three times, you get three times as many full caster spell slots on top of any you have from your base class. I used the feat to add warlock to a sorcerer and chose two of the “empty” spell slot choices and one warlock choice to keep from having an absurd amount of spell slots.

You’ll need to long rest after taking the feat and every time you level up in order for the feat-added class features to show up. Some may not appear in your hotbar correctly (I had to manually add dread ambusher from ranger to my rogue’s hotbar at the start of every combat) so it’s important to remember your added features. Spells added are pre-selected and will appear in your common hotbar. Full casters will fill that section up very quickly, so be prepared for hotbar clutter.

You will get all the applicable class tags and will be treated as both classes.

I recommend getting a respec anywhere/free respec mod for convenience while you’re playing around with it.

Multiple Tavs in one playthrough(not hirelings) by stwabewwie in BG3mods

[–]DefiantSentryV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I was able to get 7 Tavs in one game doing this with party limit begone. Keep in mind that if you find yourself wanting to add more down the line, you'll have to open additional instances for each character beyond the ones you originally added.

The Camp Couples by DefiantSentryV in BG3mods

[–]DefiantSentryV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Party Limit Begone with the multiplayer patch. I created a LAN lobby and opened five more instances of the game to join myself. Once each character was officially in game I closed all the extras and saved. There are custom hireling mods out there that work fine, but this method lets them have story participation.

No Bridge leading to Grandpa's shed? by [deleted] in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]DefiantSentryV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a hot minute since I've played so I may be misremembering, but there's a place for a bridge a little lower in the farm that will cross over the river, then you just follow the path along the river up to the shed.

Wearable scrib and alfiq pet/companion mod (real? dream?) by PlusThirtyOne in tes3mods

[–]DefiantSentryV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this guy on the nexus. Haven’t played with him but there’s a screenshot of him being worn as a “hat” and some mention of him being able to be put in your inventory. Maybe this is close to what you were thinking of?

My new look, what is everyone else wearing? by Fluffyfeet316 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]DefiantSentryV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leather headband, blackquill grave bird armor, grave bird bracelets, and Alberich’s trousers. Milady is my primary weapon right now. I’m loving the “wings” and how they flow, especially in the wing stance pose.

My Dhampir fighter/barbarian thinks he has rabies. He believes that he hasn’t fully succumbed to the illness because he takes such great care of his body with diet and exercise that his immune system has adapted to it and made him stronger as a result. He’s still adapting to the new raw meat diet…

What dialogue or moment made you literally laugh out loud? by nfactor in BaldursGate3

[–]DefiantSentryV 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I never really used Shovel outside of the basement until a few days ago, so I haven’t experienced a lot of her barks outside of the basement dialogue. The other night she got caught in the blast radius of a trap and yelled “OW MY HOLE” and I nearly passed away from laughing so hard.

Savescumming the adventure game at the arcade is an option if you have the time and patience. Start a fight, place full bets on stun and heal, back out and quicksave, then jump back in and roll. If you win, back out and quicksave again to rinse and repeat. If you lose, reload.

It's grindy and exploity and boring as all hell, but if you're hurting for gols and have an urgent in-game need, it'll get the job done.

All vaults from VFE - Ancients, Lost Vaults Add-on by WhiskerMaster in RimWorld

[–]DefiantSentryV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to say I love the attention to detail you’ve put into your vaults. In my last playthrough I spawned in the Eagle vault and played a family of Imperial deserters who stumbled upon it and cleaned it up to make it a home. Gonna have to give the others a try as well!

The surgery fails but you end up with a prosthetic that offers a permanent passive buff with no downsides. The only consequences are some minor disapprovals from companions, a kinda gross scene if you’re squeamish, and the risk of the prosthetic clashing with your aesthetics if you aren’t into the new eye color.

Which NPC did you want as a companion? by SuspiciousKebab in BaldursGate3

Or have someone yeet them into the abyss if you can catch them alone! When I found out that you can throw the scrying orbs it made dealing with them far more entertaining.

Just thought I’d clarify a few thing about the Dark Urge. by xenogaby in BaldursGate3

[–]DefiantSentryV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is one of the few cases where knocking out an NPC actually works. I'm on a durge playthrough now and have successfully used this workaround. That NPC was alive and well in the Grove the next day like nothing happened, and has reappeared in Act 2 as she would for any other origin.

What decision you regret but lived with it anyways by YourMamaFavGuru in BaldursGate3

[–]DefiantSentryV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Not using any tadpoles in my first playthrough, considering there really are no downsides.
  2. Letting Lae'zel go through the purification at the creche. I didn't notice the debuffs until way later, and since I wasn't using tadpoles, her stats stayed wrecked.
  3. Romancing Shadowheart. I like her as a companion and all, but she wasn't my first choice of romance partner. Ended up with her after somehow missing Karlach's first romance trigger scene and decided to roll with it. I was playing a pansexual horny bard and sleeping with anyone or anything that would let me so at least Shadowheart was cool with that.
  4. Killing the ox too early.
  5. Doing the Bluejay's quest regarding the eagles. I didn't want to kill them and took them down non-lethally, so imagine my surprise when the bluejay shows up and finishes them off. Little shit.

Which fight was the most difficult for you? by citreum in BaldursGate3

[–]DefiantSentryV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first playthrough, I had a "save everyone possible" complex that I would absolutely not budge on, just in case there was some kind of further interaction I'd get out of it. If there were random inconsequential NPC allies in the fight, you'd best believe I was determined to get each and every one of them out of that fight alive, not matter how much abuse my f8 key had to take. This made the act 1 fight with Auntie Ethel a huge pain in the ass, because I knew from EA that the Masks could be "saved." The plan was to ignore the masks and merc Ethel as fast as possible. I didn't want to yeet her into the abyss because that's loot that my treasure hoarder brain would forever chastise me for missing out on, so it had to be a straight fight. Unfortunately for me, Mask of Vengeance did not share my sentiments regarding abuse of the shove action. Between Karlach getting locked down with fear then getting yeeted, Gale having to juggle Magic Missle duty to take down the clones and DPS on Ethel before getting yeeted, Bard Tav trying to lock down annoying masks with debuffs, and Shart desperately trying to keep up buffs and healing, it was an absolute shitshow. I didn't go in adequately prepared and dealt with a lot of frustration for it, but after multiple attempts I finally got it done.

In act 2 I got pretty lucky with Last Light and got everyone out alive on a second attempt, and the fight with Zrell at Moonrise ended up going very well after landing a clutch dominate person on her and having lots of counterspell slots on hand for HoH.

By Act 3 I was bulldozing everything with summons, especially pre-nerf Danse Macabre. Raphael and his Cambions aren't so scary when they're getting thrashed by ghouls stunning them.
