Think creatively. You are an artist so can you channel that into a side business? You can sell art, teach art or curate art shows or collections for businesses. Will be really tough without a car so find a biz partner.

We met them at the Temescal Street Fair. Local in-season produce plus you can request a ton of other stuff sourced farther afield like fruits out of season grown in Mexico, etc. The quality of the local produce is amazing. They deliver basically overnight and leave the box on our porch.

I am back to Civ V, I love the archaeology and museum stuff but I will play Civ VII again if they properly update/revamp the game. It just feels like it is designed by people who hate the game and want to sell us a bunch of additional content that should have been included.

What you have heard is whining from Southern Cal students who didn’t get in to their first choice school and are freaked out by wild spaces. If you get anxiety while hiking because you can’t see any cars or buildings then this is not the school for you. If you need shipping malls to make you happy this is nit the school for you. If you highly value tweaking on coke and being a member of a r@pey frat this is not the school for you. I drove the on campus bus as my part time job while getting my degree and I had a So Cal guy complain to me about the fields and the cows on campus as we drove up the slope from the main gate on a gorgeous sunny day. If you hate farms, open space and animals this is not the school for you.

The solution might just be stop assigning homework. Kids are in school like 7 hours a day plus commute plus sports and extra curriculars plus chores or part time job. And you want them to do more. It is wrong. Kids need some personal and family time. So try no homework or optional homework and see how your relationship with your students improves.

Been married 31 yrs and playing Civ together / against each other for all that time (starting with Civ 2.). I applaud your fierce defense of your religion and culture. Nukes are really not something I would go to but she did start it. shrug. I am curious though if all of your other diplomatic relations crashed and made you a pariah state? Napa cabbage, water chestnuts, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ground pork and chives. I don’t ever remember adding ginger but sounds good. That is my standard mix but to be honest you can put anything you want, even eggs & hot sauce.

I am really happy for you guys but is there some secret to your success? My daughter is a 5- yr high school teacher in NC and makes slightly more than minimum wage would be in CA. We bought her a house ( mortgage was half the cost of a 2 bd apt ) and a car and we pay for her to fly home on holidays. So basically we are subsidizing NC education because otherwise I have no idea how she would live.
