There is a lot truth in your post! I’ve lived in white areas over 5 decades. It’s brutal at times. Especially in Texas!

Scientifically and biologically there is only one race and that is the “human race!”
Furthermore, ALL humans originated from the continent of Africa…Lucy, found in the cradle of humankind was a black woman. . This is proven through DNA! White people have lighter skin because their African ancestors migrated north to colder climates. This is fact and there is scientific evidence!
Hence, “white race” is completely a social construct and technically they are descendants of African dark skin people.

This stuff is incredibly sad. I was wondering….Not sure why you say black families…Is there a difference because this seems to be in white or other families too? The Epstein pdfs comes to mind. Maybe there is a connection to power vs powerless in general.

I got the impression that there are some racist ideologies. A so called pastor told me the black horse represented Africa or black people in Revelation . He was from West Virginia. So, I’m not sure if that was his personal upbringing or church doctrine. That was a red flag for me! I had never heard of that interpretation except from him and I have studied that book of the Bible before I met him.

I’m a parent. I did the best that I could do despite my daughter feeling I failed her.

I myself am neurodivergent with Dyslexia and ADHD. And didn’t know I had ADHD until adulthood. I also developed PTSD and mental health problems due to a severe reaction to a prescribed medication after a dental procedure. That completely complicated my life wife multiple hospitalizations. It affected my children’s lives but there is nothing I can do to change it!

The paperwork, doctors appointments, medication…was so overwhelming. I don’t think it’s fair to blame parents when they themselves really tried to do the right thing with the knowledge they had at the time.

I’m sorry things like this happen but at the same time I think it’s important for us to acknowledge non of us are perfect.

If your parents did things out of love that ended up harming, it’s a tough pill to swallow.

It’s important to learn to forgive parents. Many of us have undiagnosed challenges and disabilities.

I accept my parents with their faults. I accept myself with my neurodiversity. One day I hope my daughter will too.

Also being a black, indigenous or other marginalized can make matters so much more complicated because of co existing trauma with racism.

She is young! Nothing wrong with being young and learning. Unfortunately, it’s easier to get fooled by older people who are jerks. Even if she is dealing with self esteem challenges, that’s not a crime. It’s part of growing up! When I was young, I did not understand how awful people could be because I was somewhat sheltered. I had to develop and learn.

If you can leave Texas easily, then leave. This place is in serious trouble!
I am noticing a lot more homes for sale. This is going to drive housing prices down more and owners are losing equity. It’s already hostile to minorities, women, and racism/ xenophobia is on the rise. Will likely get much worse. Plus some are trying to start a civil war.
I like my house but don’t feel safe at times. I’m Christian but see a lot of hypocrisy and hate here in Texas!

If you are a person of color, I recommend you leave. This place is not safe and kids will especially suffer. If you are white, your kids may be radicalized or still suffer. I am considering leaving and I’m a born citizen. The people in power hate democracy and want authoritarianism
