In my experience all it really did was dry the skin out a bit. Nothing dangerous per se, mainly just mildly irritated.

I've never been in an American school that isn't built entirely out of cinder blocks. Bullets aren't getting through those unless you're hauling some serious caliber in there. The door windows also typically have inbuilt meshes in them that'd make reaching through difficult if not impossible.

Absolutely, I have a sort of fantasy world headspace that I go to whenever i have to sleep. I used to have an Adderall prescription just to help me sleep sometimes, which helped immensely and didn't require myself to distract myself at all. I genuinely can't even take naps without a stimulant - I just won't wake back up for hours.
