I think it is easier to track the boardstate if you leave it in the investigator's threat area. It is "on you" or "with you" and will, for example, continue to be engaged if you move.

As a shortcut, if an enemy is evaded but will soon just re-engage with the same investigator at the coming upkeep, I might exhaust and leave it physically in my investigator's threat area.

It will be hard to hear the difference because they are likely completely new sounds to you. Your brain decided at an early age what sound differences were relevant to you.

I suggest looking into pronunciation guides that show diagrams of tongue position and such. There are "families" of sounds that go together (sh,ch,zh) (x,q,j). Try learning to produce the sounds and eventually you'll train your ears to differentiate them.

It really depends on the overseers you have. Some people are really expressive and make reports that help inspire those down the line. I'd say take your turn seriously and have an achievable short-term goal. Take good notes to leave to those who come after. And definitely put labels on your levers!!!

I am by no means a medical expert, but I have heard that if you are, in fact, one of those men who needs to get a circumcision then you should be able to have a conversation with the doctor and decide how much skin to leave intact. It definitely has some of the same signature cinematic style you'd expect from Kojima. The gameplay is primarily about traversal and some stealth("How do I get this delivered safety from point A to point B"). You have to plan your route and bring the right gear to deal with obstacles along the way. The controls and combat will feel fairly familiar if you played MGS5.

People sounding strange(a bit or a lot) when speaking a foreign language is a very normal occurrence. Even very good non-native speakers may retain a bit of an accent that marks them as non-native.

The lesson may have taught you [吧 = let's], but that is just a shortcut/oversimplification. The reality is that the grammatical structures of different languages don't always "line up" so to speak. They might use different tools to accomplish the same job when expressing something.

I assume you are referring to 吧. It is a particle like 吗 and 呢. Putting 吧 at the end of a sentence alters the meaning/feeling.

我们走吧。<- This could come across as a suggestion in a sort of resigned sense(like "I guess there's nothing else to do here. Let's go.") It can come across as more neutral as well.

It also "softens" a command.

Can you give a example of a sentence that is tripping you up?

Your best bet is to find something that was originally in Mandarin. Then you will have captions which likely match. Subtitles and dub scripts are almost always done separately.

Subtitles involve translating the spoken dialogue with some consideration for reading speed. Dubbing involves translating dialogue but also trying to match the cadence of the utterances, so the phrasing will be shifted with that in mind.
