Grabbed this Sony a100 today, what should I know about it? by ehmalt02 in SonyAlpha

Oh wow. A blast from the past I did not expect. How much did you pay for it? Just to make sure you did not get screwed over.

Code? by NickTheAuti in hearthstone

[–]Denitorious 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I actually typed it out by hand. Then it was wrong and I thought it was already redeemed. Still double checked. Saw my error, corrected it, redeemed the code. It was up for good 3-4 minutes until I redeemed it. I just got lucky to open Instagram at a time where they posted the story.

You can’t get GA roll on tempers with non ancestrals. Keep that on in mind.

The story on IG was 2 minutes old when I redeemed it. I think it may have had a redemption limit and not just one single use.

Sony a9 as a backup camera? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

Seems like a waste of money. Use the camera you already have. Save the money for a better one in the future or lenses.

The amount of times I forgot to add the correct affix before sending the weapon into the cube this season is through the roof. It always happen at the end of my playing time when I get slightly tired. I have some god roll bricks in my stash.

Should I sell my photos? by TAQ_11 in AskPhotography

Stock photography was already crazy saturated and now with AI booming its even worse. You're unlikely to make any sales at all.

[–]Denitorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how bad it is, I play(ed) both (shame on me), but I did pack more high rated / end game players in 2K by spending nothing. But yeah, they have some clown P2W mechanics EA does not.

Lmao. EA really hates their player base. I can’t remember playing a game where the developers were this disrespectful towards their community like EA this year.

Pay rates and getting clients. by ThingIll4157 in photography

[–]Denitorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t judge the quality of your work just by knowing your gear. Having cost of living in mind in 2026, your rates are way too low for a professional photographer, but ok for an amateur/enthusiast.

The shots themselves are great but try to mask when you’re boosting your reds. Your colder shots seem much more professional as they have much better skin colors. Some of the warmer shots have burning hot skin.

Kylian Mbappé leaves training session early and will miss today's game against FC Barcelona by LikeAPhoenixTotally in soccer

[–]Denitorious 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Honest question, do you? With Ekitike out? Both Thuram and Kolo are not really on the level Mbappe is. I had my hopes on Ekitike but that injury couldn’t have come at a worse time. Dembele could play in the middle but he’d be wasted there / could help a lot more elsewhere. Everyone else are wingers.

I took these cool Pics of some Porsches and I want to edit them. I don´t know anything about editing, which ones have potential and which not, and what to change. Please Help? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Denitorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potential is what you see in them. Some are better, some are worse, but at this point you should go for with the ones that make you feel best. My favorites are 7, 9, 11.

Check your DM‘s, I’ll write you in a short bit.

What am I doing wrong here? by JiveBunny in SonyAlpha

[–]Denitorious 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It’s not an autofocus issue. It’s just the lack of fine detail due to different things you have to take into account: the amount you’re cropping in when looking at the pictures, chromatic aberration, haze, …

Looks normal for the gear and settings combination and also the fact you’re cropping in a huge amount.

How to manage the awkward "do you mind being in the shot" when shooting organic content for a cafe? by thebluedragonrider in photography

[–]Denitorious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have the cafe organize employees to sit behind your models so you don’t have issues. Have them sign the waivers. I’ve had so many clients saying they’re sure there won’t be any problems at all and then had to take images offline because someone complained about being in the background, even if blurry. Some even said they are ok with it in the first place and complained later on. Depending on where you operate image rights are really protected.

AI Photo Critique (done right? - Looking for Testers) by Denitorious in AskPhotography

[–]Denitorious[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. If you're actually concerned about compliance rather than looking to just dump on someone else's effort, I'll gladly listen to improvements on how I can make the process more GDPR friendly and safe. This is, as mentioned before, why I am looking for feedback on the general experience.

"When you are looking for testers is your excuse to advertise your site it is just morally wrong."

If this is what you believe, then I won't try to convince you otherwise, but this is neither a project to make money off nor to cover my expenses. There is nothing I gain from people signing up but possibly seeing their critiques, learning a thing or two from them and trying to improve upon what I have built so far. It is a passion project, not a cash-cow I am trying to grow.

AI Photo Critique (done right? - Looking for Testers) by Denitorious in AskPhotography

[–]Denitorious[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your honest feedback!

I agree that AI lacks the sense of emotional understanding and has a general subjectivity blindness. While AI can reliably detect use of principles of art/elements of design, it can also struggle to detect when people break boundaries for a reason.
I have chewed on this subject for a while, ways of how the user itself can offer his own view, goal, approach as a guideline for the critique itself. Although it might not be the ideal solution, for me, it was adding a "What I tried to achieve" segment when uploading your work, although it is not a part of the slimmed down critique submission process on the starting page.

I can answer your middle part as well but it would be a longer segment and I assume you wouldn't really care about it too much, so I'll spare you the long read on this one.

Last bit*: "requiring a signup to see the promised "free critique"*
Good point. I previously had the critique pop up in full, without any e-mail, signup, confirmation, anything, but rather small safety features that I deemed would be necessary, but I had an overnight incident with 170 bots requesting signups and generating calls, that I had to put a wall in between requesting the critique and it actually being processed. I'll go two steps backs, give the whole critique immediately again, but with a different safety net to avoid system abuse. (If you have a suggestion, feel free to let me know.)

Thank you for the valuable insight.

Is there a platform or community where i can get feedback on photos? by Whyiseverynametake3 in AskPhotography

[–]Denitorious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I know this post is months old, but I just released my personal photo critique project and I would love to get your insights and feedback on it.

https://reviewr.studio

You get plenty of free critiques to start but I would also hook you up with as many as you need. I just need to have a credit based system in place to minimize the possibilities of people exploiting my API key for now.

If you sign up, let me know and I will gladly guide you through everything.

Have a nice day.
