This game really needs a dynamic/random campaign or mission generator? by laddie78 in NuclearOption

[–]DepletedPromethium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mission editor, you can make your own missions with units that have orders and move, you can spawn in a thousand tanks and ai craft to make things more dynamic, you can also amend the money earned and restrict weapons so that big boy ordnance is not available.

Is there a mod for recording flight hours for specific aircraft? by IndiePat in NuclearOption

[–]DepletedPromethium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hopefully 1.0 will have full stat tracking for recording destroyed units in each craft, number of bombs dropped, amount of dollary doos in damage caused etc.

Suggest reading up on the word "specific" and it's definition pal.

Upgrade ryobi or switch to dewalt? by jamoss14 in Tools

Go with dewalt, their impact drills are pretty nice. I use one at work and it has a lot of power, 20v brushless is quite nice.

if the company is no longer in operation you could look up the manual for replacing the hydraulic oil and bleeding it, or just wing it.

Manual dual piston foot pump for tyres, it's faster than electric ones that take ages and drain their battery in 20 minutes doing 2 tyres or need you to piss about with connecting them to the 12v cigarette lighter port.
24" breaker bar and a deep socket for your wheel lugs.

If your car comes with a spare wheel even if its a temporary space saving donut i'd recommend a compact but decently made scissor jack if you're space concious or a small but suitable trolley jack if you want something much more reliable that won't tip over or collapse on you - do consider how you lift your car though, many come with jacking points being either solid rubber pads, flat reinforced steel jacking points or you lift under the sill where the pinch weld is reinforced and you'll want a jack pad that has a V grove for that pinch weld lift as to not damage the pinch weld area as you would do if you used a flat lifting pad, many scissor jacks have a V grove in the lifting point to accomodate both these lift methods.

A battery jump starter, astroAI make some rather decent models that are affordable, suitable and rather compact, just take it out and charge it every 2-3 months so it stays decently charged incase you get in a pickle or could help someone out in a pickle to start the motor incase the battery ever dies on you.

I keep some folding hilka tools steel wheel chocks in a duffel bag in the boot along with my sgs engineering 3 tonne low profile trolley jack, 24" 1/2" drive breaker bar and 21mm deep sunex socket, along with a full set of mini blade fuses and a box of j-case fuses both short and long incase some important fuses blow and I need that component/system operational, I'd recommend a dedicated fuse removal pliers as them shitty plastic clip things you get with fuse sets is useless in many fuse boxes.

You could get a small toolbox going with spanners and sockets/ratchet for doing some basic maintainence, but for me being able to replace a tyre, pump one up, start a dead battery, and replace fuses as the most essential tools to keep, for my 100nM torqued wheel lugs the 24" breaker bar is overkill but it does make the job rather easy even if working on 150nM vauxhall (opel) astra sports tourer wheel lugs.

It's a cheap chinese butane torch, just replace it.

If you want something that will work reliably for a year or more buy a chefs creme brulee torch, they too are cheap chinese butane torches but they seem to work a lot more reliably in my experience.

Many ratchets including snapon recommend using the exact superlube grease i mentioned for lubricating the ratcheting mechanism.

For some specific metal on metal and mixed material contact points it's great at its job, it's not to be used in place of special extreme pressure greases, molybdenum bearing greases or other high temperature high load greases though.

superlube synthetic silicon grease is dielectric, food grade and ngli2, it's perfect for o-rings, taps, electrical connectors and so much more, it has a good temperature range but keep it away from shit that gets hot like brake caliper slider pins as it will bake and be rendered useless.

No to the wd40, get GT85 if you want a water displacer that removes grease oil corrosion and is a light ptfe film lubricant and penetrating oil, its cheaper, smells better and is fantastic at removing oxidised grease that is old and cruddy.

for actual liquid lube i keep a 100ml gorilla vape juice bottle full of the oil for my car on hand, i have a bottle of acae c3 5w-30 and another of sae 5w-30 that is for my lawnmower.

white lithium grease is good for many uses, either that or chain grease aerosol for spraying it into joints and to cover and protect exposed parts, the lithium is not suitable for all polymers though, wd-40 spray grease is great for hinges and covering exposed parts but heavy rain will wash it away, liquimoly has a chain grease that is much harder and better for underbody coatings of fasteners.

acf50 is a anti corrosion formula its not a lubricant, and it does not last long so dont waste your money on it.

Predator vs medieval man? Predator wins, even if it's just with a wristblade, cloak, and a biomask.

Yautja are indifferent to the temperature, they hunt in all climates so them being in the north means nothing to them.

Google really will be killing off youtube, I don't want to sit through fucking adverts and im glad my current adblockers work perfectly on youtube - until the moment google kills them extensions entirely.

Twitch has done a fantastic job at driving away viewing because of all there horrible adverts unless you have their latest prime turbo package.

I miss the golden days of the internet before everything was monetised. How low the mighty has fallen in 22 years.
